@mrjamesob If the Gammon aren't careful, the only British values we'll have left will be brown sauce, calling Freeview "Normal Telly" and wrought iron silhouettes of a WW2 solider we're told to never forget, even though he died defending Europe, The Rule of Law, and Refugees.

Can’t believe how truly terrible EETV is. Tuning freeview channels is atrocious. Currently get 43, no BBC, ITV or any basic ones using new aerial. If it does find them they just disappear. Bedroom TV gets all the freeview ones and that’s on an old aerial in the same spot. #EETV

@Mark56623345 @a516digital Bilsdale is a primary mast serving North Yorks, Teesside, Co. Durham and some of Tyne & Wear. Unless you can redirect your aerial and get a signal from Emley Moor or Pontop you’re stuffed for Freeview.

@WendyM53 @Freeview Hi, Due to unforeseen circumstances the Bilsdale transmitter is currently not transmitting due to a large fire. The emergency services are onsite and once cleared the engineers will access the transmitter to resolve the issue. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Over 3 hrs I've spent trying to figure out why the Freeview side of my BT box lost all the channels with no signal. Stripped wires removed plugs...checked other TVs ...only to finally find out the local transmitter is on 🔥.. not happy.....bedtime.....😠😠

@BBCNEandCumbria I live on the north side of the river Wear in Sunderland and my tv signal came from that transmitter. I've retuned both my tv and freeview box but the alternative signal isn't as strong and has interruptions to it.

BILLSDALE TRANSMITTER PROBLEMS DUE TO FIREM CAUSING TELEVISION RECEPTION PROBLEMS.THOSE WHO HAVE SKY OR FREEVIEW WILL NOT BE AFFECTED. REPAIR TIME COULD BE ONE OR TWO WEEKS.

Freeview and radio services in North Yorkshire and Teesside have been affected by a complete loss of service at Bilsdale transmitter. Services fell off air at 1:26pm this afternoon. Viewers are advised not to retune.
