There's an important point to be made about internet freedom and search algorithms but I can't be bothered all that so... The internet is like Freeview now. "Do you want this crap thing you didn't ask for on CNN 1, CNN 2, or CNN extra?" 😾

@mrjamesob If the Gammon aren't careful, the only British values we'll have left will be brown sauce, calling Freeview "Normal Telly" and wrought iron silhouettes of a WW2 solider we're told to never forget, even though he died defending Europe, The Rule of Law, and Refugees.

Can’t believe how truly terrible EETV is. Tuning freeview channels is atrocious. Currently get 43, no BBC, ITV or any basic ones using new aerial. If it does find them they just disappear. Bedroom TV gets all the freeview ones and that’s on an old aerial in the same spot. #EETV

@nigelwUK @MatthewMarks42 @bobdvb Odd. It must be doing a 5.1->2.0 PCM fold-down rather than a 5.1 PCM output I guess. There is no stereo on Freeview HD when 5.1 is being broadcast. (On satellite there is a parallel stereo audio description feed)

@FreeviewAdvice We have been having problems with Freeview for months. Need to retune every day and real trouble getting BBC HD, ITV HD and Channel 4 HD. Haven't been able to get Points West consistently for years. Freeview is absolute garbage.

would be nice to be able to watch the #eurovision2022 - youtube geo blocking, iplayer says no (geo blocked again), and freeview reception terrible.

@KatiKnitt That really sucks. We have the TV license here in the UK, but if you don't actually consume "live TV" (BBC, freeview, live sports, etc.) then you don't actually have to pay for it; in my case, all I use is YT, Twitch & stream subs. Shocking and aggravating that you're forced to!

@WASPCommander Sadly we don't control your signal strength, you need to speak with your service provider, who should be able to advise you/help you. Is its Freeview? Freeview advice line on 03456 505050.
