@thefulltoss @hainba67 Participation numbers in all sports are in decline regardless of whether its on freeview tv. The downward trend has been since the late 1980s. My research shows its more likely down to the fact sport is not played in state schools rather than tv.

@Vanhalen20081 @russty_russ If you think it's bad on Freeview, it's probably worse on Sky and Virgin. When I look at the list of channels on my EPG, I can't help but think that some only exist for the sake of ad revenue.

  • maygrants jade misses liv and bella (@maygrants) reported

why when li goes on longer does it never show on tv like i have to go to my silly little freeview app to check

  • Page_888 Matthew H (@Page_888) reported

@scott_gamer @russty_russ I'm guessing they would have sold generic DTT boxes for free-to-air digital TV. Top-Up TV used to be on Freeview. Unusually the ntl:digital text service still ran and provided listings for ITV Digital channels long after Freeview had replaced it.

  • chimaira1967 mak (@chimaira1967) reported

@NOW absolute thieves I pay for your service monthly and now your bombarding us with adverts as well, I can watch all the ads I want on freeview, drop the ads. I’d u want to run ads offer a lower price subscription, don’t implement it on everyone and ask for another £5

  • se6london SE6London (@se6london) reported

I have a 50" Roku TV just purchased from Argos. I am in a weak reception area, if I scan on a good day I have HD freeview channels. If I turn on the TV next day and signal is weak the HD channels are completely removed and I have to do another scan - super annoying @HisenseUK

  • adam_markson Adam Markson (@adam_markson) reported

@FreeviewAdvice Thank you, but this still doesn't answer my question. My question was does Freeview itself (i.e. the management of Freeview) not have the authority to remove certain TV channels if they think another broadcaster could provide a better service for both Freeview and the public?

  • thedogger31 darren (@thedogger31) reported

@SkyHelpTeam Yes I wanted to keep my tv package and landline but was told yesterday if I cancel my broadband I cannot keep my landline as only the freeview channels come through the satellite dish. I am out of contract on my broadband too

  • RockcliffeFiles Rockcliffe Files (@RockcliffeFiles) reported from Werrington, England

Warning, stupid question incoming, does a Freeview tele just simply plug into an old skool aerial?? My mum wants a new TV but doesn’t have cable. I’m assuming so? I’ve had cable since the early 90s so haven’t had to faff on with aerials for 30 odd years !!!
