Cllr Mike Young (@mikeyoungUK) reported from Elwick, England@giffgaff I got a payg sim for my spare phone yesterday and spent 30 quid on credit so I can use it as a data tethering device for my laptop at home. Live in a rural area so no fibre broadband option. Sadly, there is zero 4G signal. I thought all networks had this sorted?!

#ImMe | #SAFC | π¬π§ π³οΈβπ (@MeInSunderland) reported from Sunderland Bridge, England@1BenBaller @giffgaff Itβs on its way back but why annoyed me was that @giffgaff didnβt seem to care. I was told to contact apple support. Erm no. If I buy a phone then I expect it to work

Rob Dowson (@RobDowson86) reported from Stainton and Thornton, England@giffgaff Hi I have two queries, basically my phone sale is not appearing in selling my phone and also my revised quote is Β£13.50 and stating there is white dots on the screen this wasn't a issue when I send my phone to yourselves.

Dean (@SixCylinderDean) reported from Sunderland Bridge, EnglandHey @giffgaff can you get onto O2 about the mobile signal in Sunderland City Centre, itβs almost impossible to even load twitter.
-
Nathan Lawson (@nathanlawsn) reported from Sunderland Bridge, England@adamconder @OllieBrkr @giffgaff Iβve experienced that occasionally on Three also, but I found that restarting my iPhone fixes the problem, so Iβm beginning to think itβs actually an iOS issue rather than a problem with the network.
-
Lynda Dπ (@e_gran) reported from Hartlepool, England@RachelOrr I think you can just get a phoneβ¦it doesnβt have to have a giffgaff SIM (but check on that). However, GG is so cheap and easy and you can change plans or cancel with no contract. We have both been with them for years and years.

giffgaff (@giffgaff) reported@JasonScargill Thanks for confirming. This is usually a security block, but it's not always clear why this happens. Sometimes disconnecting from the WiFi can help. This is generally a temporary issue so allowing some time before retrying can work too - giffgaff Hannah

-
Matrix Breaker (@AMH_Andrew) reported@GeoffBuysCars @EE Shocking Geoff. FWIW, I recently bought a GiffGaff SIM card/call plan (uses the O2 network) online with no questions asked - just an email address and card payment needed

Lee Wakefield (@anorak58) reported@EE Contract ends 16/06 for 2 iPhone 14s. Want a sim only deal until we upgrade later this year. You can offer 5/10GB deals. Very poor when I can get monthly deal with giffgaff for Β£8 for 5GB. Obviously not worried about customer retention.
-
Mark πββ¬ πββ¬ (@TheBossnME) reported@virginmedia @giffgaff @Telefonica gifgaff, who are part of O2, who now work with Virgin Media. All part of Telefonica (and Liberty Global). A FOI request detailing how network coverage map data is recorded, updated, and published would be interesting to see. It seems to be very different from reality.

kakarot (@kakarotx92) reported@giffgaff that is it. Had enpugh of your **** signal and slow service. Goodbye
-
G (@esnw33430) reported@valuemanmatt @O2 @Joff_L They decided its fair for you to pay through the nose so other "new customers" have a deal. Like many companies, there is no customer loyalty, they want the maximum money out of you for minimum service. Time to port your number to giffgaff, same o2 network and less money.
