@Pogit @giffgaff That consumer law (Consumer Rights Act 2015) requires you to prove that the problem was down to a fault or issue at the manufacturer, as opposed to wear and tear or misuse. So you need an engineer's report ideally from Apple to prove the phone was faulty when they made it.

Hi @giffgaff We purchased an IPhone XS Max 2.5yrs ago for £1300 it now has a carrier update fail message @AppleSupport have looked at the phone and advised it should be replaced but as it was purchased through yourselves it should be done via you and consumer protection laws.
