Little Gibbo (@littlegibbo) reported from Long Ashton, England@HSBC_UK my 80+yr parents are fed up with not being able to talk to anyone at the bank. Every number goes to a non UK call centre, they don’t know security numbers, they just want to be able to speak to a person. What happened to customer service? My mum was in tears.
-
Tracey #footballmum (@trpritchards) reported from Bristol, EnglandCurrently thousands of customers able to use their @HSBC_UK cards to pay for anything or access their online banking. Disgraceful
-
Amy (@Yippers) reported from Bristol, England@HSBC_UK Yes after being on hold for 1 hour 4 minutes. I am a new customer; is this the standard wait time which I have to endure to get to an agent?
-
Sue🇺🇦🇬🇧🇪🇺💙 (@stillherejust) reported from Wells, England@HSBC_UK Banks were bailed out with our money. Suggest you give it back to help those in crisis.
-
Amy (@Yippers) reported from Bristol, England@HSBC_UK Please refer to ALL previous tweets 👀 you should see that this is resolved; a missed DD and a 60+ minute wait is not a great start for a new customer is it?
-
Martin Rose (@MartinRose2) reported from Bristol, England@mouthwaite @HSBC_UK Years ago, banks prided themselves on great customer service, not any more. Now having customers at arms length is not enough and their focus is on their investors rather than the customer. I have been with NatWest since 1986 and have always felt valued.

Tim Huckle (@timhuckle) reportedHSBC Apple Pay. Possibly all(?) HSBC UK customers have woken to an email from them confirming registration of their card on to Apple Pay. Contact centre on +30 minute wait times as concerned customers phone in. I’m told the comms were sent in error. @HSBC_UK
-
Escapeartiste (@MelliardAmanda) reportedI’m pretty sure none they have dealt with has ever set up a business themselves or put their neck on the line. The service and communication is appalling, everyone hiding behind online communication, @HSBC_UK it is very poor
-
Richard Kennedy (@RichardKennedy) reported@Aliciasdnud @HSBC_UK “Hi there! We’d love to continue this in DMs, mainly because public evidence of our incompetence is terrible for brand awareness.”
-
Kaey (@ThatGuyKaey) reported@Archiemurp @HSBC_UK Oh ****, didn’t know they do this 🫣
-
Thomas Thorburn (@ThomasThorburn) reported@HSBC_UK I am a Premier account holder, have had my phone and wallet stolen in Portugal, service offered by Aviva is woeful, unable to get through, told that coverage is actually much lower than advertised, with a month wait. Stranded here for a week more no phone bank cards etc
-
@BigBaggie20AM3D (@BigBaggie20AM3D) reported@CleansedTweets @HSBC_UK What happened to your money in the account? How do you access it now to move it to a new bank?
-
Hello Newman (@goodbyenorman) reported@HSBC_UK Terrible. No information was sent on this by email. By taking the app offline when even logging on over the desktop requires a 6 digit app-generated code, you're de-banking customers for 2 hours.
-
Laurelin (@SnufflebeanYarn) reported@ricci_kitchen @HSBC_UK I had the same email - I wonder if it’s a glitch.
-
Jack Vaughn (@BigHairyJack) reported@HSBC_UK Having ordered a new secure key (the old one got deactivated for no good reason and couldn't be reactivated) I'm now told that it can take up to 7 working days to get to me. Leaving me 11 days without being able to access my account. I think it's time to switch bank.
