if a public service broadcaster has to participate in a ‘market’, then all a commercial broadcaster has to do is produce better content. ITV doesn’t. Netflix doesn’t. that shouldn’t be made the BBC’s problem.

We lost a friend to Covid in his early 60s due to the slow reaction of the government and Cheltenham going ahead.
