Shameful, particularly as @maitlis was simply reiterating what has happened and reflecting the mood of the country. I went a few years earlier as quality was moving down the strategy. Interestingly itv have brought back stenos to cover their day time programming for quality.

@HeathertheHeron @ITV Morgan made an impact ( some might say for varying reasons...!) but my issue is with lightweight programming often called "infotainment", and ratings chasing. @itv doesn't cover news as well as it might for a public broadcaster

Just finished watching @ITV #Stephen great dramatisation of a terrible true crime. What is the matter with the Met? One man uncovered some of the truth and they retired him, 3 killers still walk free and they don’t give a toss??
