    @Louisam78 @frankie_mclean @AVSTTR @scotgov @hearinglossSCO @Stagetext @NRCPD @Daily_Record The bbc subcontracts their live subtitling to RedBeeMedia all of their long serving stenos redundant 18 months ago. I went a few years earlier as quality was moving down the strategy. Interestingly itv have brought back stenos to cover their day time programming for quality.

    Newspapers will only stop all this when we stop reading and clicking. I never watched Love Island, but I tweeted at time it’s a shame Caroline Flack was pushed under a bus whilst ITV rushed to help rehabilitate Ant & Dec for ratings reasons.

Shameful, particularly as @maitlis was simply reiterating what has happened and reflecting the mood of the country. I’ve given up with @bbc as a valid source of news - @itv and @Channel4News far superior

    @1968Tv I fully agree but there might be an issue on rights. The BBC as well as ITV no longer hold the rights to the Football League and the EFL won't take kindly to unauthorised airing of it's old highlights. They might have to pay extra to screen them.

    @EFCdaily_ @ITV Terrible if true but anyone who has watched a match in main stand at Goodison finds it stretches credibility to limit that CEO was put in headlock & person responsible wasn’t apprehended by police or stewards & that it wasn’t even mentioned for nearly 2 weeks.
