Your mistake has lead to a significant financial impact on our lives and you have done nothing to escalate the issue to resolve it. I'm on hold, again, to try and get our money back. Imagine if I delayed paying my mortgage.

IanS (@IanSPointOfView) reported@AskNationwide what has changed with using Nationwide’s debit card abroad. Never had problems previously but last week in Mallorca it failed in first 3 shops and first 4 ATMs - only managed to successfully use it in 1 ATM and airport shop on way home.
