  • DavidHorneScot
    David Horne (@DavidHorneScot) reported

@TomTugendhat @O2 @vodafone Problem is that when you’re abroad you may be in higher density areas. I’ve been to plenty of rural areas in other countries where phone signal is patchy. And I’m happy with the £7 a month I pay for my service…

  • AndyFurnival2
    Andy Furnival (@AndyFurnival2) reported

@TomTugendhat @O2 EE are just as bad. All networks believe the utter bollocks they peddle that coverage is fantastic. It was better when it was 3G. If only there was a regulator that could put an end to theoretical coverage maps 🤔

  • des_mansfield
    Desmond Mansfield (@des_mansfield) reported

@worstall @O2 @vodafone Oligopolies can still be bad.

  • CharlesNF_no2
    CharlesNF (@CharlesNF_no2) reported

@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE O2 was so bad in Southampton that I moved to EE, which is a fair bit better. O2's 5G was even worse than its 4G.

  • Barbara25122320
    Barbara Richardson (@Barbara25122320) reported

@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE I’m in Dulwich too. Wasn’t it Boris and his cycling Czar who gave us cycle lanes and closed roads? What did your party do in government to improve mobile service?

  • 1joharrington
    Jo Harrington (@1joharrington) reported

@TomTugendhat @O2 UK 5G is dreadful. Third-party user testing from Opensignal and Ookla showed that the everyday user experience in the UK is among the worst in the developed world. 40% of the time your phone shows the "5G" icon in the UK, it is actually running on older 4G infrastructure.

  • _teambennett9
    Benno 🎸 (@_teambennett9) reported

@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Yet again. Why did you do nothing about this on the 14 (awful) years your party were in government? All you do is piss and moan about things you could have fixed, but didn’t !

  • archied009
    David Meikle 😺 (@archied009) reported

@TomTugendhat @O2 The networks have been so desperate to roll out 3G, 4G, 5G and increase prices that they’ve neglected to improve the overall network coverage in the UK, far too many black spots

  • Carswift
    Carswift (@Carswift) reported

@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE So the Gov has to drop money from public infrastructure and fix the mess of private companies? And then these private companies will take the profit? hah

  • Quelpanama
    Quelpanama (@Quelpanama) reported

@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Yet another issue where we have to think back to Tom’s time in Kabul liaising between MI6 and the SAS. Apparently sitting behind a desk in a building yards away from a communication mast he got a good signal. So heroic!
