I'm sure this point has been made before, but if my experience of @virginmedia customer service is anything to go by, adopting the @O2 brand after the merger is probably the best choice. There must be so much ill will out there towards the Virgin brand.

@writingabit Bloody ridiculous @O2 never been fobbed off so many times. Buy a phone to receive a text so O2 can sell you a phone. Nope. Stuff your contract. Maybe @VodafoneUKhelp can offer better service ?

So @O2 9 hours wasted trying to get to sort a solution: You’ve said because our phone is broken we should go to the shops to buy a new PAYG so you can text the new handset with a code to upgrade to a contract. Never heard such tosh. You do know your shops are closed, right?!

@O2 I’ll continue to post on social media until you resolve this issue.... it’s not a big ask. You’re not seriously suggesting no O2 customers have had a broken phone needing to upgrade in the past 10 months during a pandemic. @VodafoneUK you want to help us ditch @O2

@O2 so been told my phone that freezes and loses signal ro WiFi I have to pay to be repaired as its past 2 years. You do realise that's not legally binding and a product is expected to be useful for a reasonable time. 2 years and a few months is not reasonable for a £500 phone
