So I switch mobile across to @O2 and lo an behold I’m in the same situation... going round a call centre day after day with no one understanding the problem or able to fix! Shall I just give up on keeping the number I’ve had for the last 10 years?!? #poorcustomerservice #help

Trying to switch mobile provider, but just discovered from a (v nice customer service rep) that @O2 don't want to take me on as a customer - he can't explain it. Anyone else had this? (Am solvent, never missed a payment to current provider in 20 years etc, so bit perplexed)

@FelicityCloake @O2 I had this a couple of years ago, good credit and everything just flat refusal to give me a contract! Tried with 3 and was no issue, no explanation at all...I joined o2 in December and nothing had changed but all went through fine this time!

@AMP86793444 @O2 they can decline yes. The customer service rep who tried to put it through again said the reasons are kept confidential. It's slightly freaking me out in case I've been the victim of some sort of identity theft

@FelicityCloake @O2 I worked at a call centre once where a particularly slack staff member put a customer on hold, went out and smoked a leisurely joint, came back and took him off hold, and said: "I hope you enjoyed the music, sir."

"There's no chance Vodafone will ever charge for data roaming" - what was said in store in 2020 at my last contract renewal... Pleased to switch to O2 this morning, new phone and contract with data roaming and wonderful service in store. How lovely :) @O2
