So I switch mobile across to @O2 and lo an behold I’m in the same situation... going round a call centre day after day with no one understanding the problem or able to fix! Shall I just give up on keeping the number I’ve had for the last 10 years?!? #poorcustomerservice #help

@O2 hi, wondering if you can help. Just got a new work mobile and nano SIM. Tried to initiate simswap but my old work mobile with larger micro sim won't boot up (hence the new phone)

@Nickstuart07 @O2 Having a similar problem too! Worked in Southampton for a month with no 4G service due to a mast being down. Had to sit in coffee shops and pay for coffees to use WiFi. Problem still not fixed and no mention of compensation! #timeforchange #poorservice #o2

@O2 I have already been through this process. I spoke to someone from customer service and explained my circumstances. I’ve received nothing helpful in return and unfortunately your service was inoperable for the month in which I had to work in Southampton.

@O2 Seems to. I was travelling on a train, using 3g as their wifi was broken. Between Ipswich and Diss (apx 1850 to 1920) no adult sites would load - stopped at IP lookup phase - but all others would. Clearing cache didn’t help but rebooting the phone did. Odd little glitch.

@O2 So will they be taking on your standard of service or will you be adopting theirs? o2 have been quite good but Virgin Media like to take people’s money for absolute trash & I don’t want to deal with them or that again. Nor do I really want my money lining their filthy pockets!

@snippetsofem @virginmedia @O2 Depending on your mobile, why not activate WiFi calling on your device where you can make calls through your virgin media router. Such google for you device and add WiFi calling and go from there to get signal.

@snippetsofem @virginmedia @O2 Okay I would sugguest is login to the router and change the channel of the 2.4ghz and 5ghz. There is app called WiFi analyser. It will scan networks (access points) around you. Other routers on the same channel the app will show you your best channel to be on. Trust me it works

@s_onward @O2 @virginmedia I’m sorry to hear that!! Personally I find VM customer service absolutely shocking but I’ve always found o2 very helpful. I just hope this merge doesn’t change things. 🤞🏼 the problem is this merge will all be about money and not us the customers.

@RichieH37745130 @virginmedia @O2 I have done that already which makes it better. But my calls still drop out a lot! I have virgin media internet too which goes down quite a bit in my area, but we are limited for other providers

@O2 I seem to never have any internet access anywhere, even when showing 4G nothing loads and no WhatsApp’s come through

@O2 @virginmedia If you read the tweets it's very clear @virginmedia has a terrible customer service. Very worrying for O2 customers and the customer will lose out as usual. I expect the Communications Ombudsman will be swamped with complaints in the years to come. A bad day.

Hey @O2 as a valued customer of both you and @virginmedia does your merger mean I will be able to have a reduced bill?

@vmbusiness @O2 I mean, at least if someone clicked on to your Twitter to see an apology and acknowledgement that there's an issue with static ip addresses (or whatever) we could know there WAS something up, and await further info.

@virginmedia @O2 This company is disorganised, calls are transferred between Indian call centres who haven’t got clue what is going on,appalling costumer service.
