I’m not complaining - I’m empathising with the staff, but it does seem that they are under-resourced on the front desk. Some customers were being rude. Thank you for coming back to me.

This is common practice and absolutely nothing to do with religion. I support the principle that business owners can refuse service, and they legally can.

For example, why was Julia Marwood summoned back (after retirement) to help with the collection of evidence for the Inquiry given she knew of the "Receipts & Mismatch Bug" and rendered my father for prosecution. As a customer , the shop have no business telling you that you can’t wear that outfit. As an employee they may require you to dress in work attire . And it’s “backless”, not “blackless”.
