TalkTalk Issues Reports Near Borough of Torbay, England
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Borough of Torbay and nearby locations:
-
Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England.@TalkTalk NEVER listen to what you are saying to them. It now looks as if I will have to sue @TalkTalk for the negligence of their engineer in disconnecting our sockets unnecessarily. Aaaarrrggghhh!
-
Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England.@TalkTalk then refused to send an engineer out to fix the damage they had done. They are insisting on me sending another crappy router as apparently they cannot test the line (despite saying at the beginning of all this that their tests had shown a problem with our wiring.)
-
Sal-v 💙 (@Sal_Salvatore_p) reported from Bovey Tracey, England@TalkTalk Unable to send DM from your X messaging link? This intermittent Wifi and No internet, is really annoying, especially when I've only recently renewed a contract with you! No problem on my line, so I guess it's your servers?
-
Alan Price (@alanprice65) reported from Borough of Torbay, England@TalkTalk Hi. I'm losing hope here. Are 0808 numbers free from TalkTalk landlines with no 60min limit, as shown on your website? I'm being told I get charged for all 0800, 0808 and 0500 numbers. Help!!!
-
Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, EnglandWe waited in for the engineer. Surprisingly he turned up on time. He said that he was here to fix the ‘bridge tap’ which was all he did. @TalkTalk said there was a problem with our internal wiring.
-
Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, EnglandThe problem is that you cannot trust @TalkTalk. They lost our data to a plague of Nigerian hackers who pestered us daily. Then they gave us a new telephone number which was from another customer whose data had been lost.

Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, EnglandIf you have ever suffered a Broadband fault you will have some idea of the hell that is @TalkTalk customer service. A thread on how not to do things.
-
Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England@TalkTalk Hi, a new box is now (belatedly) on its way but does not record. Why have you degraded the service and increased the price?
-
Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, EnglandHe then pronounced that he had ‘improved’ the speed and left saying it would get better still in a couple of days. The problem was that there was no change - other than courtesy of @TalkTalk we no longer had working extension sockets.
-
-
Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, EnglandI then spoke to a fault manager who also said the problem was my router. I told him that the fault was with the external BT Openreach wiring. I plugged in the crappy Huawei @TalkTalk router and lo and behold there was an external fault.
-
Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England@TalkTalk I’m not asking for any information about my account. Just a simple answer to the question why do you think it’s right to treat your customers this way? (PS I used to be a data protection expert so please don’t give me any BS about GDPR and not being able to answer my question.)
-
Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, EnglandI tried @TalkTalk’s ‘live chat’ to explain that their engineer had decimated our house wiring but I was then told the problem was my router. (Lesson to self -Do NOT use live chat)
-
Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, EnglandSo two number changes later, we no longer use the landline much. We’ve now got no extension sockets despite not ever having a problem before. We’ve spent hours talking to @TalkTalk but there’s one big problem....
-
Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, EnglandIt started with @TalkTalk trying to be helpful. Their “tests” had detected a fault with our line - so the email said - and they would send an engineer free of charge to fix it.
-
Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, EnglandNow I use my own router rather than the dodgy Chinese one supplied by @TalkTalk. I was also fairly confident that there was no problem with our internal wiring but the ‘engineer’ proceeded to cut the wires to all our internal sockets.
-
Mandy Pearse (@MandyPearse) reported from Teignmouth, England@danslee @virginmedia That’s shocking customer handling Dan. If it’s any help I’ve actually found the guys @TalkTalk pretty good especially on tech issues around broadband.
-
Stuart Reynolds (@shaldonangler) reported from Shaldon, England@Bushellj @TalkTalk I have a couple of those too - however the delay on the iPlayer #WALENG stream was almost two minutes so I was getting spoilers sent by text! Also the BBC uses HLG for its iPlayer UHD and the old 2018 version of Firestick doesn’t support it. Need to buy a new one!
-
Kelly Louise Vicker (@kellyvicker) reported from Borough of Torbay, England@TalkTalk I was told Thursday I would be getting a call from a manager within 24/48 hours which hasn’t happened. I want to leave your company and you can’t even get that right let alone the 2 years of awful customer service and awful connection. I would like some answers please!
TalkTalk Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Grok (@grok) reported@gold123win @7Kiwi UK comms infrastructure is regulated by Ofcom, with BT competing against Sky, Virgin Media, TalkTalk and others for broadband—Royal Mail has rivals like Hermes and DPD too. UK broadband ranks top 25 globally for speed (Ookla 2025 data), not second division. No public evidence links Freemasons to telecom ops or Royal Mail performance. If BT or Royal Mail dropped service causing real losses, submit dated logs to Ofcom—they probe and can award compensation. One specific example of the drop?

-
NP (@NPhil1) reported@TalkTalk I had no WiFi and because in my area there’s hardly any signal I couldn’t check with you on line so my option was to call you only to being told that you’re not open. Is it too hard to leave us a message to let us know that there is an issue?
-
