David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia @Kristian7Ross Don’t expect quick service from VM so far I’ve been waiting 19 days. I’ve used 3 different methods of contact and spent almost 2 hours on hold. Shocking customer service.
-
Jenny (@jennysinead) reported from Derry, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia On 3 occasions I wasn’t made aware of the issues with my street, and was lead to believe there was no problems, never mind received promotional leaflets to my address. Now I have no internet with two babies. But thanks for the pathetic apology @virginmedia
-
David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia I appreciate your response and I refer you to my previous messages. It is not a service issue and not a matter to be discussed on a open forum.
-
David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia I’ve already tried that service and two days later I’m still waiting for a reply.
-
Blake McCarthy (@lordflamegx) reported from Derry, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia is there a current outage going in NI? Lost our connection atm
-
Jenny (@jennysinead) reported from Derry, Northern Ireland
I ordered @virginmedia 10 days ago. I’ve had 4 points of contact since. And not once was I told that my address wasn’t able to get broadband. They even had engineers out to check, but never bothered to let me know, until today, installation day.

Sean Gibbons (@SeanGibbons_1) reported from Derry, Northern Ireland
@TonyRoddUK @virginmedia When it works @virginmedia is great when something goes wrong they are a disaster and customer service is absolutely dreadful. Hope you get sorted soon tho 👍
-
Terence O'Brien (@tobconnell) reported from Culmore, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia internet down and poor for days now
-
David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia @BBCWatchdog . It seems the “just ignore him and he’ll go away” policy is systemic throughout the Organisation including the Exe Team. With the gardening season on it’s way it would be awful if a spade was to accidentally cut a fibre which isn’t supposed to be there.
-
David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia @BBCWatchdog Once again I must compliment VM customer services on their ability to ignore my messages for 10 consecutive days. I have received an auto response first thing in the morning asking if I still needed help but alas that’s where the contact ends.
-
David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia This has been ongoing since 18/3/20 and as for a complaint number I don’t know.
-
David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia Firstly I noticed you removed @BBCWatchdog from your reply. My initial request was 2/12/20, this was followed up by several messages, my complaint was made on 7/1/21 and the reply stated it would be addressed within 28 days. During this time I sent 2 reminder emails.
-
David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia As previously stated I don’t have time to wait on hold for hours on end listening to music. I’m sure you are able to look at my previous messages which outline my issues including the latest one outlining a wayleave or as the case is no wayleave.
-
Jenny (@jennysinead) reported from Derry, Northern Ireland
I just had the worst customer experience with @virginmedia so I’m obviously going to tweet about it since they haven’t even had the courtesy to give me a call/email/letter and apologise 🙄
-
Manus Daly (@daly_manus) reported from Foyle Hill, Northern Ireland
@queenchristina_ @virginmedia I bet you would have a problem if you wanted to upgrade
-
David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia Are you seriously telling me that a multi national company doesn’t have a customer services email?
-
David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia @BBCWatchdog Folks I once again have to congratulate you on the total incompetence of your customer service team. It’s now 14 days since I first contacted VM and other than an auto response every morning I’ve had no contact. Please extract the digit.
-
Terence O'Brien (@tobconnell) reported from Culmore, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia how do I cancel racing tv
-
David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia @BBCWatchdog Well what can I say, the level of customer service from VM has once again excelled all expectations but I would be telling lies just like VM do. Despite numerous verbal and written promises you have failed to resolve the issue.
-
David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland
@virginmedia Again you have omitted @BBCWatchdog. I’ve been told that VM CS don’t have an email which I find unbelievable.... anyhow the Executive Team do and this is the ref C-07012136 I received from them. I have also completed the online complaint form.
Virgin Media Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
dan (@danbrkr) reported
@virginmedia why are you trying to raise my monthly fee by like 30% when vodafone already undercut you lol. do i need to call to cancel my contract or can you sort it here?
-
Jason Bushell (@jasonbushell86) reported
@virginmedia With the price increases due to come in April, I understand that due to the amount of increase, I should be able to leave without an early cancellation fee. My broadband service has been fairly poor and the price increase is the final nail in the coffin for me.
-
Mike Rodgers (@MikeRodgers74) reported
@virginmedia That average is still well above current inflation rates. Will there be a decrease in charges if inflation goes down, as it inevitably will? Your loyal customers won't be holding their breath...
-
Neil Spellings (@neilspellings) reported
@paullewismoney @virginmedia If suppliers base their increases on RPI+(random profit margin increase %) and RPI itself is based upon a blend of food and utility/mobile prices, are they not just pushing up RPI themselves even more, landing themselves even more profit next year? Sounds like a broken system.
-
JenK💙 (@jk81jk) reported
@virginmedia Any update on the outage in the L14 area? Considering the amount you are putting the price of broadband up by, you would think it would actually work wouldn't you!!
-
Syrena Tracy #GeneralElection #StandWithUkraine 🌻 (@law83692622) reported
@paullewismoney @virginmedia I know, that's why I've got a headache trying to cancel! 🙀
-
Lewis Allen ⚒ (@_Lewis_A) reported
@virginmedia The point is I was mis-sold any contract that does or doesn't show. I increased the speed as that is what you advised when I last complained. I never signed a new contract and now you want £288 to cancel a contract I never agreed too. Why can't your team show me evidence I signed
-
Paul Lewis (@paullewismoney) reported
Two emails today to say my TV and Mobile subs are 'changing'. Byt whch they mean increasing. Would they be so coy if they were coming down? And of course the rises are huge. One by around 10% the other by 13.4%. Not the record which sits with @virginmedia and its 17.3% rise.
-
♱ Tink ♱ (@tecklerssss) reported
Haha @virginmedia can get to ****, £20price rise only months after taking out new contract and being assured I won’t get any rise. Jokers. Im sorry Sky, all is forgiven
-
Paul Booth (@Paul_V_Booth) reported
@virginmedia Still didn’t get the service paid for
