Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Eglinton, Northern Ireland

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Eglinton and nearby locations:

  • jennysinead Jenny (@jennysinead) reported from Derry, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia On 3 occasions I wasn’t made aware of the issues with my street, and was lead to believe there was no problems, never mind received promotional leaflets to my address. Now I have no internet with two babies. But thanks for the pathetic apology @virginmedia

  • Kevin__Harley Kevin Harley (@Kevin__Harley) reported from Culmore, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia All sorted guys. My bad. There was a router software update going through and I didn’t see the lights flashing.

  • tobconnell Terence O'Brien (@tobconnell) reported from Culmore, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia how do I cancel racing tv

  • davy_gallagher David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia Are you seriously telling me that a multi national company doesn’t have a customer services email?

  • davy_gallagher David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia I’ve already tried that service and two days later I’m still waiting for a reply.

  • davy_gallagher David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia I’ve already been down that route and informed that my next bill would be less for one month only yet my bill which I got today does not reflect that. Once again I am very disappointed in the level of customer service I have received.

  • davy_gallagher David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia @BBCWatchdog Folks I once again have to congratulate you on the total incompetence of your customer service team. It’s now 14 days since I first contacted VM and other than an auto response every morning I’ve had no contact. Please extract the digit.

  • jennysinead Jenny (@jennysinead) reported from Derry, Northern Ireland

I ordered @virginmedia 10 days ago. I’ve had 4 points of contact since. And not once was I told that my address wasn’t able to get broadband. They even had engineers out to check, but never bothered to let me know, until today, installation day.

  • tobconnell Terence O'Brien (@tobconnell) reported from Culmore, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia internet down and poor for days now

  • davy_gallagher David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia @BBCWatchdog . It seems the “just ignore him and he’ll go away” policy is systemic throughout the Organisation including the Exe Team. With the gardening season on it’s way it would be awful if a spade was to accidentally cut a fibre which isn’t supposed to be there.

  • davy_gallagher David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia I appreciate your response and I refer you to my previous messages. It is not a service issue and not a matter to be discussed on a open forum.

  • SeanGibbons_1 Sean Gibbons (@SeanGibbons_1) reported from Derry, Northern Ireland

@TonyRoddUK @virginmedia When it works @virginmedia is great when something goes wrong they are a disaster and customer service is absolutely dreadful. Hope you get sorted soon tho 👍

  • davy_gallagher David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia As previously stated I don’t have time to wait on hold for hours on end listening to music. I’m sure you are able to look at my previous messages which outline my issues including the latest one outlining a wayleave or as the case is no wayleave.

  • davy_gallagher David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia This has been ongoing since 18/3/20 and as for a complaint number I don’t know.

  • davy_gallagher David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia Firstly I noticed you removed @BBCWatchdog from your reply. My initial request was 2/12/20, this was followed up by several messages, my complaint was made on 7/1/21 and the reply stated it would be addressed within 28 days. During this time I sent 2 reminder emails.

  • lordflamegx Blake McCarthy (@lordflamegx) reported from Derry, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia is there a current outage going in NI? Lost our connection atm

  • davy_gallagher David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia @Kristian7Ross Don’t expect quick service from VM so far I’ve been waiting 19 days. I’ve used 3 different methods of contact and spent almost 2 hours on hold. Shocking customer service.

  • daly_manus Manus Daly (@daly_manus) reported from Foyle Hill, Northern Ireland

@queenchristina_ @virginmedia I bet you would have a problem if you wanted to upgrade

  • davy_gallagher David Gallagher (@davy_gallagher) reported from Eglinton, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia @BBCWatchdog Once again I must compliment VM customer services on their ability to ignore my messages for 10 consecutive days. I have received an auto response first thing in the morning asking if I still needed help but alas that’s where the contact ends.

  • jennysinead Jenny (@jennysinead) reported from Derry, Northern Ireland

I just had the worst customer experience with @virginmedia so I’m obviously going to tweet about it since they haven’t even had the courtesy to give me a call/email/letter and apologise 🙄

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • imzyii Ibam (@imzyii) reported

@virginmedia Omw how many times do you asked that same old ****. Since July its the same what does that tell you I can't get through to anyone and like i said I hardly get to watch a decent programme . I've seen better services overseas on a LTE sold connection you're a big disappointed

  • adamlstr Adam Lister (@adamlstr) reported

@virginmedia Yes, between 19:01 and 08:59 the speed is 20Mbps. Between 09:00 and 19:00 it's 1.5-3.0Mbps. Your faults team merely say 'we don't guarantee upload speeds'. It's a pitiful service currently. Having an upload speed that is 1% of the downstream isn't workable.

  • imzyii Ibam (@imzyii) reported

@virginmedia Do you ever listen to your customers 🤔 did I not say its impossible to get thorough all it does a its self test that does not help as it only tells you to off the router that's does not resolve everything how can you lose or have interrupted service constantly hey

  • cemrezor Cemre Zor (@cemrezor) reported

@virginmedia I have sent the email. Can you confirm here in public that you have received it and you will no longer contact me regarding this issue?

  • Mattsoar78 Matthew Soar (@Mattsoar78) reported

@virginmedia See there is my point, you never solve the problem. What a waste of money

  • LDTomo LTomo (@LDTomo) reported

@virginmedia Yes. I have boosters in my house, yet the internet is awful still, upstairs the connection drops in an out constantly, I’m paying £85 a month for this? Sort it out !

  • lisaonline014 Lisa (@lisaonline014) reported

@virginmedia Hello. Someone connected to the chat eventually. It was going to take you 6 - 8 weeks to connect my new house to your network despite saying on your website that the house was already connected, so I've cancelled my contract and gone with Sky.

  • wizzo0702 wendy izzo (@wizzo0702) reported

@virginmedia Thanks. When I contacted you recently and you updated my contract you said to just order one through the app. But tbh my app rarely works. It’s says there’s an issue with my hub and will reboot but rarely ever does

  • Amanda__J_C amandacausebrook (@Amanda__J_C) reported

@virginmedia can’t get hold of someone in the moving team that called me and sorted move but have never received confirmation email. Your customer service =no service as I don’t know when I paid my Bill! No managers and only Emily in whole of virgin media who cannot help!

  • Mattsoar78 Matthew Soar (@Mattsoar78) reported

@virginmedia Yes, it's always rubbish and always has been poor. We have a local Facebook page, and it's always mentioned on there about how bad Virgin, but no one ever seems to do anything about it.
