@virginmedia Have got a scheduled call back from the agent tomorrow to try and get through quickly to technical and get someone there to authorise the box swap as it’s really upsetting them with the constant issues. Not convinced but will see what they say...

@virginmedia I’m back! So i popped round to chat with my friend about their issues and together we called customer services to discuss - the best they offered was half hour wait to go over the technical faults for the 10000th time or £90 to sell her a new box....

@virginmedia I am currently on hold speaking to customer services again this call is going on for nearly an hour. Most frustrating part is the inconsistency and having to start over every time we make contact.

@virginmedia They did but they ended up making us go through the same steps that my friend had done last week then advised it may take 4 hours to fix, obviously they are very upset as we’re promised in last nights call that if there was a fault VM would replace the kit and this was refused

@virginmedia frustrated with the customer services when trying to change my elderly parents DD as my father has passed away, totally unsympathetic and unhelpful, after being on hold for over 20 mins, still unresolved

Yo @virginmedia you REALLY need to get @TwitterSupport to block and delete @virgrnimedia they are pretending to be VM support and DMing people who tweet you asking for details like credit card (full number, expiry, cvc) & address info - need to stop them! @actionfrauduk

@virginmedia It's no worries; you have to update or fix things from time to time. All I know is that the internet and TV went down, your site said the problems would be fixed by 6pm and I signed up to be notified when it was sorted. The email came just after 6pm... Internet's still kapputt.

@virginmedia Last advice I have following all their technical tests, restarting the box, watching the help videos etc, I’ve put in a complaint and they have phoned me but as I said specifically I cannot talk while I am at work and requested they phone after 5pm.

@virginmedia It’s media, it’s endless problems with a TiVo box. We’ve spoken to customer service and technical support have done everything they require for all the intermittent problems.

@michael_norbury @virginmedia Exactly the same issue here in Bournemouth. It said it would be fixed at 6pm and got an email saying it was fixed. It appears not to be fixed... I'm guessing it's not fixed. ☹

@virginmedia I have a wired connection to my Xbox and a wireless connection to my iPhone and both are affected. I have just rebooted my hub twice and now WiFi ‘seems’ to be working. I would like an engineer to come to my house and swap my hub as I think it is the hub that is causing the issue

So there is a fault with my @virginmedia box and a fault in the area. Even though my fault is different to the one that’s already been reported they cannot help and I have to phone back in 48 hours. Asked what the fault is no one can actually tell me. Error code is different

@virginmedia If you look at my previous tweets this issue has been ongoing for over a year now and I think I should be due some form of compensation for this lack of service I have been paying for. Can a manager please call me to discuss this further on Friday as I’m not available until then.

@virginmedia Unfortunately I am at work until 7 pm tomorrow. I have just spoken to technical support and have been told the reason for all the issues is that I have only 39% space left on HD. Your technical support team need to go for training

@virginmedia @LaurenSTompkins Just jumping in - this related to the conversation we were having in the week. All the steps that both you and technical support provided have been followed but every call starts back at square one - probably easier to quit then join as a new customer than get it fixed!

@virginmedia Thank you for “allowing me” the opportunity to raise a complaint, and I suppose I’ll have to ring you then. 😡 not happy, this service I’m receiving is dreadful.

@virginmedia Tech Supoort were hopeless 1hr15min on phone with my friend tonight (which I had to sit through and take over because she was so frustrated) and they WONT replace the box - they say it’s fine, it really isn’t! Have asked for this to be escalated to a formal complaint

@virginmedia I’m sorry to say your customer service is bar none, the worst experience I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. A missed appointment scheduled by you, I’m on the phone for over 3 hrs and you have no ownership of the issue, just pass me from pillar to post. #fail

About 16 years I've had broadband with @virginmedia and now they're suddenly telling me they are collecting their equipment and won't talk to me on the phone. I guess they've too many customers and don't want/need me(single tear moment). Utter **** their customer service anyway!
-
Andy Cave
(@Andycave) reported
@virginmedia It’s not 3rd party equipment but mere connecting information needed to make an email address work on a desktop. Configuring it used to come as part of the (pricey) monthly subscription and it still should. I have paid £60 for something that took one minute to fix. #heldtoransom

@virginmedia Well I phoned up reporting that my WiFi has been down all day. Everything is showing up fine on your side but I did report that my area was flooded few days ago and the box outside was covered in water. I'm pretty much being told to just wait and check all wires which I've done.
