Is there a worse customers services department, than @virginmedia ? Over an hour on phone, and online chat, trying to cancel my broadband, as I'm moving house. Pushed from pillar to post. No idea of I've cancelled, as both were hung up. There should be better laws on this!

  • Tom38971529
Tom (@Tom38971529) reported from Bognor Regis, England

@virginmedia Been told of an installation date of the 20th July. Now have to wait until the 13th August for construction work to be done. No idea when I'll be getting any service from you guys losing all Internet and TV as from Monday from my current provider

  • hackneycharlie
Charlie Charlton 💙 (@hackneycharlie) reported from Bognor Regis, England

@virginmedia I have spoken, on the phone, and web chat, for over an hour, repeating & repeating that I want to close my contract, getting put on hold, pushed around staff, and eventual hang ups. I've never experienced a worse service. Sky were polite & excellent, in comparison.

  • hackneycharlie
Charlie Charlton 💙 (@hackneycharlie) reported from Bognor Regis, England

@virginmedia It'll be quicker to write the letter. Also, I'll move the families mobile contracts while I'm at it, because I wouldn't want to continue to be associated with @virginmedia or any associated company. I knew w the law has been slow to catch up with the digital age, but this!

  • idczn
    D (@idczn) reported

The only contract I ever signed with Virgin Media was in 2018, and it continues to this day. I have never changed or upgraded it; I only occasionally tried to report home network connection issues. It turns out that in November 2024, a two-year contract was accepted, which I only found out about in 2025 when I wanted to cancel their services. I couldn't leave them XD However, checking who did this on my behalf and when (because it certainly wasn't me) was impossible, as I had no way to log into my Virgin account Now I cansee- the accepted contract has different number? There is no any signature of mine- and information that was sent to e-mail: back then controlled by hacker
