Bob Voyage (@bobvoyage) reported from Margate, England

@virginmedia if you think I am going to be talking to my family over Christmas while my WiFi is down, you can think again. Get the engineer out here or I'm sending you shite in the post daily.

  • SamRSparrow
Sam Sparrow (@SamRSparrow) reported from Broadstairs and St. Peters, England

@virginmedia Already done it and there is an outage in the area and now saying won’t be updated until 9.30pm? How am I supposed to work?

  • sheradondublin
Sheradon Dublin (@sheradondublin) reported from Margate, England

@virginmedia It’s the same problem we always have with your WiFi, it’s patchy at best. Even when I’m standing next to the box

  • SamRSparrow
Sam Sparrow 🇪🇺 (@SamRSparrow) reported from Broadstairs and St. Peters, England

@virginmedia The service status page hasn’t updated since 1pm. Everyone in the area has the internet down and yet I’m being told right now on the phone there is no problem. I had an engineer booked tomorrow and VM cancelled that and now can’t send one until Monday? Awful service.

  • bobmitchell82
bob mitchell (@bobmitchell82) reported from Margate, England

@virginmedia I checked on the app and it says my account has finished . I’m not going to waste more of my time being left on hold when I have requested someone phone me back and been told 24-48 hours and still nothing. If only the customer service were as helpful as your Twitter team

  • SamRSparrow
Sam Sparrow 🇪🇺 (@SamRSparrow) reported from Broadstairs and St. Peters, England

@virginmedia Why would my page have no update since 1pm? I’m only getting updates via community Facebook page and my parents. My postcode is CT10 2SW. I would also like to know why my engineer visit was cancelled and how I make a complaint.

  • revdmesmith
Michael Smith (@revdmesmith) reported from Kingsdown, England

@virginmedia urgent help please. An extremely vulnerable lady’s landline is down. She has no log in details as these were set up by her late husband. Cannot get through to you by phone or by web chat. Please dm me with advice urgently, thanks

  • jimmygreen83
James Green (@jimmygreen83) reported from Margate, England

@virginmedia... broadband has been down all day and expected back at 5:25pm, still not working. Now, recheck the app and not expected back until 8am tomorrow! Seriously?! Why? What has happened? How can it be down for that long? Ridiculous, especially when people work from home.

  • SamRSparrow
Sam Sparrow 🇪🇺 (@SamRSparrow) reported from Broadstairs and St. Peters, England

@virginmedia I am extremely unhappy broadband been down since 1.15pm. Booked an engineer. This has been cancelled with no explanation. Can’t book another. Service status says it’s fine but many others online in CT10 says there is an area issue. First person on phone hung up.

  • MagicIce
Magic Ice (@MagicIce) reported from Broadstairs and St. Peters, England

😂 Twitter Automation gone wrong... Take a look at this @virginmedia thread for a great example of Twitter automation gone wrong. 🤖 Automation < Customer service 😀

  • jimmygreen83
James Green (@jimmygreen83) reported from Margate, England

Not sure if it was just me but, my @primevideouk just went a shit for a few mins. Kept kicking me out the game via my smart tv app so switched to app via @virginmedia box and it was stuttering slightly, like a dodgy stream. Rather annoying. #BURMCI #AmazonPrime #Amazon

  • LoadedStudios
LOADED (@LoadedStudios) reported from Margate, England

Hi @virginmedia me again. How come I get a bill sent to my email address which is not linked to my account? I login in and it's someone elses account!

  • gadogrescue
Guardian Angels Dog Rescue Ltd (@gadogrescue) reported from Broadstairs and St. Peters, England

  • CaryAWright
Cary Wright (@CaryAWright) reported from Margate, England

@virginmedia @Dan13lBurk3 I spoke to tour customer service team who “guaranteed this fault would rectified by 21:25”. I explained the gravity as I needed to finish work for Xmas. They lied!!

  • jimmygreen83
James Green (@jimmygreen83) reported from Margate, England

Hi @virginmedia my internet has gone down in my house, it has been like it for about 2 hours now. I have the hub3, baselight is staying green, wifi light is staying green and the internet arrows are flashing green. Help please. Have turned off and on, didn't work.

  • SamRSparrow
Sam Sparrow (@SamRSparrow) reported from Broadstairs and St. Peters, England

@virginmedia services in #Thanet have been off since 1am on the 23rd December and now you are pushing it back until 2pm today for a fix and still no engineer on site - that will be over 36 hours with zero updates to customers right before Christmas. What is happening?!

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • TheModSmithYT
    TheModSmith (@TheModSmithYT) reported

My household has been with @virginmedia for around 25 years. We’re told new customers at our address can get full fibre/XGS-PON, but existing customers can’t migrate. So we’re stuck on older HFC/DOCSIS with Gig1 upload around 100Mbps. Why must loyal customers cancel/rejoin?

  • AnnieLa60958950
Back to the 70s (@AnnieLa60958950) reported

@virginmedia After bring pestered for 3 days and finally answering my phone, someone at Virgin Media puts the phone down abruptly on me because I didn't know what day I paid my bill. VERY RUDE!!

  • pixiepoppett
    Louise Ford (@pixiepoppett) reported

@virginmedia Still no solution and fix times just being moved all day. Ur customer services was of no help. Will be leaving at first opportunity.

  • ads913
    keith addy (@ads913) reported

@virginmedia I understand they're introductory, but the gap is £51/month for the identical package. That's not a normal "new customer discount" that's a loyalty penalty. What can you actually offer me?

  • soapyrct
    Sean Pearson (@soapyrct) reported

@virginmedia @customerchamp1 It is literally the level of service you have provided for many years.

  • ACLegalServices
    Legal Eagle. (@ACLegalServices) reported

@virginmedia I am seriously thinking of leaving Virgin after 25 years or so as you are about to double my bill to £62.00 a month for speeds of 120mbps. Any recommendations to replace them with a reliable service, that I have had with Virgin. Difficult to talk to them on phone

  • untzy
    UnTzY 🚶🏻 (@untzy) reported

@HayekAndChips @virginmedia @MartinSLewis They are a nightmare, make it hard as possible to cancel.

  • paz565
    Paz DLXV (@paz565) reported

@O2 The whole 'customer service' provided by O2 in relation to this matter has been nothing short of appalling. As O2 is now associated with Virgin Media, I will be taking the earliest opportunity available to switch the services I have with them too.

  • Houstie1886
    MrsHoustie🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (@Houstie1886) reported

@virginmedia Yes the service stays page says no issues. But the helpline said 24 hours now the chat help saying another 24 hours. Lots of neighbours having the same issue. Can you advise please?

  • duranie1000
    MeddazzaDuranie (@duranie1000) reported

@virginmedia had no service for a week. Engineer due today between 1-4. Now been told they won’t arrive until 7.45pm?? How is that acceptable?
