I’ve been with O2 and Three in the past as well. Like a lot of providers it’s fine when it works but dreadful if you need to get in touch. Need to take a leaf from Monzo Bank customer service.

Ive been with Vodafone for 30 years. NEVER CHANGED BANK or missed a payment. I even had to disclose my salary. Shocking
