  • dangreavey Dan Greavey (@dangreavey) reported from Port Elphinstone, Scotland

@GillianDouglas2 @VodafoneUK @ThreeUK Whilst I understand there’s inflation to keep up with, surely the customer and the circumstances have to come into consideration. We’ve all been told to stay home. I have no income for now.

  • Potagedujour Trish Banks (@Potagedujour) reported from Aberdeen, Scotland

@VodafoneUK how can you charge my husband a cancellation fee for his long standing contract when we’re moving to an area where there is no Vodafone service and are forced to change providers?

  • abzpaul Paul 🚁 (@abzpaul) reported from Bucksburn, Scotland

As @VodafoneUK and @SamsungHelpUK didn't believe the "overheat" photos, I had to pay £256 for a watch that I can't use. Now they threaten the debt agency each day. I phone and they tell me its an error. Such lovely customer service guys....when will they bang on my door??

  • BillyFong89 Billy Fong (@BillyFong89) reported from Aberdeen, Scotland

So still waiting on my refund @VodafoneUK even though i was advised last week I would get it start of this week, then advised this week that I will get it by end of this week. Quick to take money out but slow at returning. Can you advise when I will receive this?

  • Mitchinator Kevin Mitchell (Rebooting...) (@Mitchinator) reported from Aberdeen, Scotland

The @VodafoneUK Fibre with @CityFibre in #Aberdeen has been terrible the past few weeks. Randomly stopping for periods of time yet all lights green. Speed tests are poor, connection is gone. Not as expected.

  • abzpaul Paul 🚁 (@abzpaul) reported from Belhelvie, Scotland

Had poor Fibre this weekend with @VodafoneUK and their helpers couldn't help. I called their WiFi experts who told me my Internet disconnected Saturday and the 4G dongle on the router cut in to work. Seems @OpenreachHelp need to attend a "water affected" cable somewhere!

  • DazzHulsee Darren Hulse (@DazzHulsee) reported from Aberdeen, Scotland

@deanramsey2 @VodafoneUK Sky and bt are just as bad

  • cari_nellie Natural Disaster⁷ (@cari_nellie) reported from Aberdeen, Scotland

    @deanramsey2 @VodafoneUK 3s just as bad mate

  • abzpaul Paul 🚁 (@abzpaul) reported from Bucksburn, Scotland

@VodafoneUK @urbanpixelsw1 You pride? Really? The only way I got my issue sorted was to take it to CEO level. Only those few more days left til the 20th when I can give my 30 days notice to take my custom elsewhere.

  • abzpaul Paul 🚁 (@abzpaul) reported from Belhelvie, Scotland

Thanks @VodafoneUK - utterly useless. Spent 52 minutes holding and being told 3 times tour phone lines have a problem and you may not answer today. When I got through to the WiFi expert he wanted me to move my extenders - a job I could have done 52 minutes ago before the...

  • nicmac58988172 nic mac (@nicmac58988172) reported from Aberdeen, Scotland

@VodafoneUK I’m totally disgusting but the price increase that you are away to implement to your UK customer, all you are doing is profiteering from the pandemic and that is disgusting when you are a billion pound company unethical

  • Mitchinator Kevin Mitchell (Rebooting...) (@Mitchinator) reported from Aberdeen, Scotland

My broadband speeds are so poor right now, I can’t even get the ‘Help’ chat to load. @VodafoneUK, this has been a month of decreasing speeds, now it’s a crawl. Disconnected, reset the router, new filter, but now 3.1Mbps.

  • abzpaul Paul 🚁 (@abzpaul) reported from Belhelvie, Scotland

Been on hold for a @VodafoneUK department for 27 minutes.....they close at 2000....I started the call at 1930 after work....wonder what will happen at 2000. They better not just hang up!!

  • hannahalison_ Hannah McIntosh (@hannahalison_) reported from Cove, Scotland

@VodafoneUK I’m still being charged for an Entertainment Pack when it was activated months ago. I’ve been continually transferred to four different customer service reps today on the phone & still not resolved. Can you help with this?

  • GregorMcAbery Gregor McAbery (@GregorMcAbery) reported from Aberdeen, Scotland

Hi @CityFibre @VodafoneUK is Vodafone no longer the Aberdeen gigafast partner? I see Talk Talk will be using the network, but perhaps they are due to end of exclusivity deal with Vodafone?

  • bsimpson66 Simmie66 (@bsimpson66) reported from Bridge of Don, Scotland

It might only be a 2.5% increase but @VodafoneUK are a bunch of greedy ***** .there timing could have been a bit better. People struggling but they don't give a shit

  • abzpaul Paul 🚁 (@abzpaul) reported from Belhelvie, Scotland

2 hours on the phone to @VodafoneUK about my fibre. It's normally 40mbps, but currently 22mbps. They see an issue but @OpenreachHelp wouldn't let them book an engineer as they didn't see an issue. They said they'd monitor but after some persuasion, an engineer is booked....

  • FlyingScotsManJ The Flying Scotsman 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (@FlyingScotsManJ) reported from Aberdeen, Scotland

@VodafoneUK I would weep with joy or scream so loud that nurses from the local hospital would come running to help, or a vicar. Or maybe I’d think it a thank you for my buying an @Apple watch and recommend Vodafone to all my friends and family…

Vodafone Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • beardyrock 🤘🏻 Beardy 🤘🏻 (@beardyrock) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @PrettyHatMech @VodafoneUK (2/2) Can also lead to corner cutting or agents ‘half-arsing’ things to keep call times down. Obvs don’t know if Vodafone do this as have never worked for them, but it is quite common in call centre operations particularly if they are outsourced rather than in-house.

  • red1hols Simon Holder (@red1hols) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Methods exist to get feedback on what customers deem a successful outcome. This feedback should be used to reward Customer Service staff who get high satisfaction ratings from customers. Difficult that one though as metrics are abused by managers measured on how much they spend.

  • PrettyHatMech 🄿🅁🄴🅃🅃🅈 🄷🄰🅃 🄼🄰🄲🄷🄸🄽🄴 (@PrettyHatMech) reported

@ebullienteddie @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK The unfortunate outcome of many of the metrics is they drive an obsession to hitting quantitate rather than qualitative targets and the end result is dehumanising the service.

  • alasdairking Alasdair King (@alasdairking) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Another question might be "has there been concern that customers are using 'I'm bereaved' as a way to cancel contracts? Have you discussed this internally? Has it produced any guidelines for staff or change in bonuses?

  • xlenm Michael Lenehan / Mícheál Ó Leannacháin (@xlenm) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Really well done on this. Might it be beneficial to invite a representative from @WhichUK to join you? They have a long track record of dealing with cases & patterns of bad customer care and can probably offer good advice.

  • kvick13 Katie Vickers (@kvick13) reported

@Moonbeamsplay @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I agree. Our problems with Vodafone could be easily solved if we could just speak with a human (assuming they employ staff who are decently paid and well enough treated to be motivated to contribute to Vodafone's success).

  • hparky88 Hannah Park (@hparky88) reported

@VodafoneUK is without a doubt the worst company I have ever had to deal with! And I haven’t been a customer for 4 years!

  • JMMills9 🌻J M Mills 🇺🇦 🇪🇺🇫🇷🇬🇧🦮🐈‍⬛🦮 (@JMMills9) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK What a well-thought out and considered thread. Sorry you had to go through so much unnecessary hassle after your sad loss. I was a vf customer for 15 years and had countless fruitless calls. Eventually changed provider out of frustration.

  • anniepoplova Dame Anniepoplova of the North🌱💙😷💉🕯️⭐🦡🐇🦊 (@anniepoplova) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I'd like to be able to conduct business at a Vodafone shop. They seem to only be able to sell us stuff in their outlets with no customer after care or query answering. Why not?

  • jonosurfboy jono (@jonosurfboy) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK How about these principles being drafted into legislation so all companies do not treat their customers appallingly, deceased or otherwise. They’ve got away with this behaviour for far too long. Send it to your mate Penny. An early policy for her.
