  • Al_roar Alistair Heron (Al apple) (@Al_roar) reported from Wivenhoe, England

@willbramhill @VodafoneUK Thanks Will, fuming. It's business critical and I was met with robotic responses which escalated to the patronising when I questioned compliance with consumer law. A 50 day phone is not 'reasonably durable' (it's not been broken).

  • kennythekilt kenny wilson (@kennythekilt) reported from Colchester, England

@VodafoneUK hi I just got a contract for myself the other day £20 100gb my wife wants it now but can see it please help

  • sherpa_slawton5 Sherpa (@sherpa_slawton5) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Sadly this is typical - had the same with my late mother’s bank. How about @VodafoneUK you actually ring this poor man to apologise & resolve instead of digging yourself a bigger hole hiding behind social media?

  • openaccessguy Colin R. Turner (@openaccessguy) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I swore I would never use them after my experience in Spain when they were the only operators who charged me €15 for 1 GIG of download. That's not speed, that's total bytes, after which I had to top up again! And **** their coconut-scented shops.

  • SUEHOUG18750102 SUE HOUGHTON (@SUEHOUG18750102) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Some of these techy companies need to train their staff on how to deal with the issues of their older customers. 14 years ago I tried to cancel my dad’s mobile phone contract under a POA when he had dementia - it was like nailing jelly to a tree. Nothing it seems has changed

  • britt_ellis Britt Ellis (@britt_ellis) reported

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Could @MartinSLewis help at all?

  • BlunderbussHB CölümbîãByOåsïß (@BlunderbussHB) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I have only negative experiences with Vodafone. From replacement handsets taking weeks, to contract cancellations being stimmied, and new WiFi broadband deals going pear shaped, everything about their customer services is terrible, unless its a really bread and butter issue.

  • pennyarnie Penny 🏉 (@pennyarnie) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @andy_williamson @VodafoneUK I tried Shelley Malton. Absolutely nothing, after 11 weeks of hell, I contacted my local MP. No apology, but did get sorted after this. Shelley is a disgrace to her profession. Very rude so no surprise her staff are. Shelley Malton Customer Services, Operations & Digital Director

  • RichieVowgan Richie Vowgan #GTTO-I'm comfortable with who I am. (@RichieVowgan) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I used to work for Carphone Warehouse and I remember one customer in particular with Vodafone who was getting divorced from his wife and she was caning the account. Five months it took together to get the sim disconnected even though the contacts were in his name. Unbelievable.

  • ClareyClaws Clare Hodgson (@ClareyClaws) reported

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Jesus Christ, my parents are getting to the age where they can't sort out this sort of thing themselves, is this a company-wide policy where you make it as hard as possible for the grieving next of kin to cancel an account?

  • Crystal_Logic_ Nick (@Crystal_Logic_) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK You only ever take out a contract with Vodaphone once, and vow never to return.

  • arbcreative John Bowering (@arbcreative) reported

@VodafoneUK @speckyninja Even a less credible (potentially malicious) customer deceased call could be sent a letter (without the account being suspended) that given 30 days before the request is actioned. It’s hardly rocket science to work for you customers rather than profit.
