Looking forward to leaving @EE - what became one of the best networks, has become the worst in all departments. And I certainly won’t be stonkin up £10 extra a month for 5G. Why can’t you be like @o2 @VodafoneUK keeping prices affordable & the same @EE 😡

6 months into 18 month fibre broadband contract and @VodafoneUK hike price from £23 to £25.50. OK, not bad, but took option to jump ship. Now staying... Doubled speed to 76mbps at old price but now with an extra 10% discount and new router. So £20.70 all in. #topdeal #speedy

So you may have a good network and plans but your customer service via @VOXI_UK and @VodafoneUK is seriously awful! I’ve had reason to move to another network and my wife will undoubtedly follow after a shocking episode of failed customer service!

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK What a well-thought out and considered thread. Sorry you had to go through so much unnecessary hassle after your sad loss. I was a vf customer for 15 years and had countless fruitless calls. Eventually changed provider out of frustration.

@GeorgeMonbiot @PrettyHatMech @VodafoneUK Many years ago, when I worked in a call centres for energy companies and BT we had an AHT of 90 seconds. Irrespective of issue being raised by the customer. Going over this 'regularly' led to a "chat" with you manager

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Incentives. What's your Retention Marketing target? What % of people calling in to ask to cancel do you ask your staff to turn around (retain)? Are "I'm calling because I'm bereaved" calls counted in this total? Are there bonuses for staff in hitting these retention targets?

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Tended to be all about handling volume and closing complaints quickly. There were also metrics based on complaints to OfCom, but the measure of success was more about not being as bad as competitors rather than being the best….

@timprater @VodafoneUK I turned off data roaming, got fed up with it. So now my phone just tells me when my network (EE) isn’t available instead

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK It took over two months to get broadband up and running in our home after a move. Issue was Openreach, but Vfone never seemed to concered about the long delay in establishing service. Just impersonal boilerplate emails about this or that delay. Noboby in charge of the problem.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK 2. I had phoned about nuisance text audio calls from their network which I didn't want. Operative: Can I have your name and address please sir? Me: (Not wanting nuisance letters) Why? Operative: How do you spell that? Not a question of national origin but of competence!

Simon Holder

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Methods exist to get feedback on what customers deem a successful outcome. This feedback should be used to reward Customer Service staff who get high satisfaction ratings from customers. Difficult that one though as metrics are abused by managers measured on how much they spend.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Very good. Once I raised a complaint with my local hospital management. They wrote a very apologetic letter. I wrote again and asked what actions they were actually putting in place to avoid the same problems in the future. No reply.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK All very pertinent issues. Not just Vodafone. 3 are bad too especially no email address, overuse of bots, no transcripts of chat conversations, premature allocation to debt collectors before resolution, etc. Well done george, keep on hassling!
