Once again slightly let down by @VodafoneUK customer service. Enquired about upgrade - apparently I only need 6gb not 10. Then offered 5gb which isn't enough so I would eventually have to pay to increase my allowance (would no longer be cheaper than my current deal)

@VodafoneUK I find the fact that my daughter’s phone was delayed through no fault of ours and the fact that I cannot cancel and restart the upgrade until your warehouse confirms receipt appalling to say the least! Punishing the customer for your mistakes!

Congratulations @VodafoneUK for the worst customer service I have ever seen. My account is still broken since I joined you in November. You said it would be fixed with the next bill and it isn’t. I joined in November! It’s March and this is still happening. #poorcustomerservice

If you are struggling to call us and have an old #vodafone number, you can get us on 01745610392. It appears @VodafoneUK has blocked old Vodafone numbers from calling our main lines since we ported back to @bt_uk. Please fix this problem @VodafoneUK @Ofcom #Solicitors

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I know it may be stressful in already difficult circumstances but let them take it to court, they are going to look very stupid doing so

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK The same happened to me. Five times I gave notice to end a sim only contract but kept getting bills. Contacted CEDR ombudsman who took their side after they claimed I was no longer a customer. Paid £29 to a debt collection agency and my credit rating was affected. 1/2

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Many years ago I had a similar issue with Orange, they continued to charge me for an account that I had closed. It was done over the phone and I received no confirmation of cancellation. Only became aware of it when letters from a debt collection agency arrived.

@drobwlldiad @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Maybe dad was legal executor? It happens ... wills not updated etc. You're right tho, I had no issues cancelling as executor 2y ago. I would not pay a solicitor to do that however! Wondering if Age Concern (can't find a national Twitter acct) can comment on the general issue?

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK @EE for the benefit of the group, EE customer service is excellent. They are very well trained. No, I do t work for them. Only moved to Sky because EE became too expensive. Sky mobile are really good too. Don't work for them either.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK It’s stuff like this that made me leave them. I “upgraded” my phone but they took out a second contract and took them 3 months to cancel it. They charged me £50 for a courtesy phone because “it was damaged “ I hadn’t even touched the phone as it was a pile of **** tbf!

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I left Vodafone years ago because of their appalling customer service. I'll never ever go back to them & always tell potential customers how horrific I found them to be. EE are my go-to every time. Their customer service is brilliant.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Thanks for the tip off...I now won't use Vodaphone in the future...I've no idea how they can expect old people to navigate their systems and answer their security questions...nor deal with long and expensive calls to their help desks.
