@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Sorry you've had to go through this. After my partner died my first interaction with Vodafone was via debt collectors, with no prior communication from Vodafone themselves. Sounds like they've got serious issues to address.

I notice a shift when they moved their customer service to South Africa and then to the Philippines. In most instances

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Just awful. I had similar happen to me with BT. They insisted my mother had called them..... on the day we buried her. Wouldn't believe us at all. I am pleased they are at least beginning to sort it for you. They must make sure this treatment doesn't happen ever again

@carolinep0 @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Vodafone embodies everything wrong with corporate structure in the modern world: a bloated and out of touch management pushing a hated and alienating customer retention policy whilst lecturing staff on the high street on the importance of good customer service. Never again.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Hideous situation, I had to deal with BT on an issue that they eventually came good on, but it took over 7 hours on the phone the majority of which was being forced to listen to banal music. Companies all need to sharpen up their acts and put more resource into customer care
