Recurring @AOL password problem; keeps telling me “incorrect password” again; had same problem a month ago. When I input password it is accepted for a short while then same message appears again; infuriating! HELP!!!

When it first arrived — and I made a blog there within the first two months of its public existence — @tumblr was the near perfect blogging platform. Then AOL destroyed it. Now it’s a horrible jail where I can’t get rid of this dumb screen. Thanks @automatic.

@liampowersjr @NorthmanTrader @Tesla Fully agree by the way, Tesla is strange, but I think some of this isn't just cars but their battery technology....never understood it myself. Never understood AOL time Warner, even wrote a paper on it for my MBA and got the lowest mark out of all my papers.

@KwakuMMNT 112 by default. Jagged Edge were broadcasting to us using 2001 AOL dial up. Horrible signal.

Still having intermittent trouble sending/receiving emails on my @AOL account. Updated password on AOL via Safari; it works. Does not work through my normal email channel either sending or receiving. Systems don’t seem to share info - help!

I’ve been with AOL all my internet life. Just recently it keeps telling me my password is wrong; I put the same password in again & it’s alright for a while. Today emails appear then suddenly vanish, is @AOL trying to dismiss me. Help!

CompuServe when I first got online in 1995, MSN Messenger, the very occasional foray into Usenet. Tried AOL, ICQ, a few others. But never enjoyed them. Had both AIM and Yahoo Meseenger But only very rarely used them.

I'm updating a remaining few passwords because of the LastPass scare today. Just updated my AOL login, because I still have that, I guess. After doing that, it showed me my recovery email, and said it was last updated 17 years ago. Good lord, I'm old.

Remember playing Madden online with AOL dial up. Praying we would get a connection. That was the most insane thing in the world. Being able to play someone online in 2004. Looking at the rankings, having your opponent pull the plug on you during a beat down. Good times

@ColleenKIROFM When I worked for @AOL, we had a criminal problem with the "reply all" function. One day, with 6000 emails sitting in the hopper, I did a "select all" and then waited 20 min to get the courage. I pressed delete, then forever delete. I still relive that moment. Free yourself, C.

@joshelman And you could only communicate with other people in the same service. So if you knew someone on CI$, but you only had an AOL account... too bad! You couldn't communicate with them. The Internet came along and interconnected all the walled gardens - and let messages flow. And so

@punishedemma The internet was better before normies figured out how to use it. Web TV and then AOL were the downfall. The old barrier to entry kept out the undesirables. The net is for fake Scully nudes, bad Star Trek fanfic, and guys who discuss Linux. Not for the cool kids or Grandma.
