@AstridAlderleaf An old friend of mine back in the AOL days used to sign off our private chats with "Dream quietly. A storm is coming." Never has that felt more true than the last few years.

@ThyVerbingNoun @IGN Game was notoriously hard for people even back in the day. I wonder how many people actually stuck with it. I remember people on the AOL RPG messaged boards getting frustrated with "not being able to damage the bosses" fairly early in the game.

@BrianNiemeier @SouthJerseyDood The technology is what gets me those most. It depended on where you leaved but even in the early 90's not all of us had personal computers. We had one but it was mostly for a data entry job my mom did at home. Never really bought one ourselves til like the AOL days lol

My internet has now been down for 24 hours. @vodafone_de says they are working on the “glitch” but I say “Do better Berlin.” My AOL dialup in 1997 was more consistent than the internet in this city. #techhub #areyousure

Opensea @opensea will be completely disrupted in 2022 given it’s high fees, lack of customer service, and terrible UI. The AOL of the late 90s.

@KillerCritics the point of those disclaimers is to say your opinion doesn't reflect your network's/producer's/affiliates'/investor's, which is typically the 2nd half of those disclaimers. "...are my own and not the opinions of... (Comedy Central, AOL, etc. etc.)"

@AmyAThatcher If we all chip in, could we pay Peter Jackson to degrade all of Nugent’s performance footage to wax-cylinder quality and AOL-era GIF resolution?

What’s up with all this seamless air-crap? Why is it necessary for us to have an air-chat party line? Is this the new AOL chatroom? If so, how can I limit it to just my friends or family? How can I block those who are not welcome, like abusive exes?
