  This pro-PRC model industry group from Silicon Valley is interesting but I think not thinking long-term. Why can’t the frontier labs do something like AOL did with its Greenhouse project and say OK, I will let you distill but we want equity in your company and/or a fee. AOL got equity for promotion/placement on the screen. (we committed 30+ million at MarketWatch, helped traffic and the ipo a lot, but worst company I have ever negotiated with). Anyway, apologies for the digression, but why couldn’t this be similar but for distillation access, and the labs like Anthropic and OpenAI could end up with a really interesting portfolio of companies, some of which might become quite valuable, and those smaller firms’ VCs could also benefit? Otherwise, does it really make sense for a huge swathe of the American technology industry to end up dependent on PRC models? Haven’t we learned any lessons from other industries where PRC firms have been able to come in at a very low cost with good products and effectively create dependencies that crowd at all other competitors? And now we are talking about the most transformative industry in many years, and it could be even worse if it’s built in part through some problematic practices in terms of distillation attacks and export control violations, if some of US government’s and frontier labs’ claims are true?

  Trust me when I say I’ve been into conspiracies since YouTube first came out. I’ve had a computer since I was six years old, back in the AOL dial-up days. Looking back, it all feels like it was by design. It explains why I was such a little ****. It explains the betrayals. It explains everything I went through. I was early to all of it. Like, really ******* early. Everything you’re seeing now is nothing new to me. It might be new to you after 2020, but I was already deep in this **** years before that. That’s how it has always been for me. And the dumb ***** who knew me in real life and still follow me would vouch for that. They know I’m not gassing this **** up. I’d actually love for them to speak on it because they saw how early I was to all of this. They won’t admit it, but I know they stalk my profile. And when I drop the numbers, this is not me being vain or thinking I’m better than anyone. I’m explaining why I’ve always felt like such an old ******* soul. I was raised around people who never understood me, and I only fully realised that around 2020.   @Magnaspecunias @coinbureau I never said ‘being first’ alone is enough. But being first *while* keeping up with improving your product so that you don’t fall behind the competition is key. AOL couldn’t keep up and it didn’t branch out into other avenues which its competition did. So not an apples to apples comparison, really, either way. “Security comes at the cost of high fees.” Silly statement. One could also them turn that around to say “low fees come at the cost of security” which IS 1) the issue for most of Ethereums competition and 2) is a bigger issue because security is more valued by the finically institutions than speed (which has diminishing returns — you only need to be fast enough while being the most secure). Financial institutions want reliability and decentralization and security far more than they do speed. Speed is the last of their worries. We know that because current trad fi has been happy using the system it’s been using for many decades, which is very slow. That’s because they value security far above speed. Pristine collateral is far more important as well and that’s where ETH shines. “Real innovation.” ETH has been innovating. Nothing is stopping it from implementing new ideas from other chains which it HAS been doing. “Legacy baggage” is just subjective word salad meme coin bag holders use to shill their ghost coins no one wants to use. ETH is more tried and true than those. And fees have constantly come down. With future upgrades it comes down more and gets faster. The newest one will for example give it a few hundred percent increase in speed. So again, just word salad to make yourself sound smart. Also, you don’t understand L2’s.
