@halvarflake Geocities seems like the closest thing to foretelling our present to some extent. Not to mention compuserve, aol and prodigy. I still hope the pendulum will swing the other way, but diaspora for instance never caught on.

@RegalMovies @Tom15404403 They are terrible, Tom!! My husband and I been charged for 2 months now while trying to cancel via email. I am surprised they have not be sued yet like AOL was back in the day for the complete lack of support with cancellation.

@divisionbyzero I feel like this is a problem for older people who aren't really used to being online in such a way? I dunno ... I have been on video chat since its earliest inception and in chat rooms etc since the pre-aol days - irc etc - its not really a problem for me.
