Saw a @Verizon ad today. They’re donating to gay causes to help gays gain access to digital technology. Gays have been online from the days of AOL chat rooms and at the outset of Grindr and Scruff. This pandering is nauseating.

@thisone0verhere In the house: 1990 - used to keyboard bad novels onto a disk for a NY publishing company. Internet - 1993 when AOL had chat rooms and you had to pay $9.95 an hour for first 5 hours and $3.50/hr thereafter.

@ShesAlwaysAwake @_Sparkx @saritanoelle I agree, thats what it turned into but even if you go back to aol im chat groups and stuff like that, that was designed to help reach people from all over.
