ɮʀʏքɨɛ (@brypie04) reported from Tarves, Scotland@EE I recently upgraded my contract to a 5G SIM only deal. I'm unsure whether I should be receiving an actual new SIM card in the post (5G enabled?) or my account has just been upgraded on the network side so I use the same SIM but get the 5G coverage?

iBRAR (@ibrar_dev) reported@EE @TomTugendhat Hang on didnt the tory govt run a massive anti waaaaah waaaaaay campaign or was it the Americans who moaned about it. They were offering to upgrade our networks and then magically spying accusations started appearing in the media.
-
MarkSpeaking 🔶#LibDem #CheshamAndAmersham (@markspeaking) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Things that never happened
-
Sarah Dixon (@SiDix67) reported@EE Been through all of this. I am then directed to the App, using my data because I have no Wifi. New router and still no connection. You use AI Bots and close down technical support at 8pm. Frustration is not a strong enough term. I will be picking this up again later today.

Greg - Israelite in Exile (surviving the Galut) (@anexiledjew) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE There's a really easy solution. I've seen this in other countries, and there's no reason it can't be implemented in the UK. Because these networks don't have the ability or will to properly cover the entire country, there's absolutely no reason we can't have domestic roaming in the same way we have international roaming. They wouldn't have to charge for it (although I'd pay if I had to) because every single mobile network would benefit from it. If you can't get an EE signal, for example, you would roam to Vodafone instead. It could be switched on instantly with no expensive engineering needed, but they choose not to do this.

DirtySecret (@RAGunner72) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Tom, Dulwich’s signal isn’t bad because O2 or EE don’t care, it’s because Southwark and local residents block or shrink almost every modern mast application. Operators want to fix it, but planning laws stop them. Until councils allow proper 20–25m masts, Dulwich will always have Kabul‑level reception.

Andy G Nothings 4 Free 🇺🇦🇬🇧🇪🇺🇨🇦 (@Sportywagon) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE Lived in Dulwich for years Never had any reception issues #JogOn
-
Barbara Richardson (@Barbara25122320) reported@TomTugendhat @O2 @EE I’m in Dulwich too. Wasn’t it Boris and his cycling Czar who gave us cycle lanes and closed roads? What did your party do in government to improve mobile service?
-
Tom Tugendhat (@TomTugendhat) reportedI’m in Dulwich. One of the more expensive areas of London, supposedly a global city, and I’m getting worse mobile phone reception that I did in Kabul a decade ago. I pay for two contracts: @O2 and @EE and neither is reliable so I can’t work. Mobile phones are useless in vast areas of Britain and have got worse. You can never work on a train, unlike in France. But we’re spending £4.5 billion in bike lanes and crossings. This government is prioritising virtue signalling vanity projects when we need infrastructure urgently.

Freddie M 🇬🇧 (@Freddie1985039) reported@EE Im sure they're aware of the problem as I received an SMS from EE a week ago, saying that they knew people were having problems connecting to devices like doorbells and they were looking into it, but heard nothing since. I'll call them tomorrow
