George Baldwin (@GeorgeBaldwin14) reported from Cardiff, WalesAnd has been mentioned before, I and I'm sure many others would never have followed rugby without the Six Nations being free to watch and having it on freeview year after year
-
Simon ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ (@uncriticalsimon) reported from Newport, Wales.@Freeview question - how come the PSB muxes arenโt treated equally? The BBC one and the HD one seem to have a much better signal from Wenvoe than the โnormalโ ITV one. (I can get Mendip off a random bit of metal.)
-
Simon ๐ค (@uncriticalsimon) reported from Newport, WalesWhy is the BBC World Service so hard to obtain EXCEPT in the one area which is explicitly not the target audience? In the UK the World Service is available 24/7 on DAB and I think Freeview and Freesat/Sky.
-
Michael Lee Lewis (@MichaelLeeLewi4) reported from Aberdare, Wales@kieranjameen Kieran cancel it, my sister did with hers and hasn't missed it, you can buy internet freeview boxes now and you can download all the apps onto them, no monthly payments then, just for what you choose to, much cheaper
-
Dave Maydew MW0DCM (@dave_maydew) reported from Tonyrefail, Wales@FreeviewAdvice @arqiva More disappointed, but I suppose I've got to accept it, after totally cutting the cord. I do have a tech question though. I'm using the Plex Media Server for Freeview, but the supplied EPG by Gracenote is terrible, is there a XML file of the one you use on the Android app
-
Jonathan (@jonnyhern) reported from Pontypool, Wales@Thomoli @PhilipsCare_UK Iโve been waiting 8 weeks for same issue not worked for me since I bought my TV. I dont have an aeriel tho just satellite cable connected & internet but no catch up aps work or freeview
-
Dave Bowden (@DaveBStDW) reported from Cardiff, Wales@bt_uk Hi Aaron, I am in complete disbelief as to how long this takes to resolve. I donโt care who resolves it & not my problem heโs not in. Iโm paying full price for freeview! I demand compensation and a quick resolve as this is just embarrassing for @bt_uk
-
Morgan Barber-Rogers #FBPE melt and centrist dad (@MeurigRogers) reported from Cardiff, Wales@bethanjenkins Project Kangaroo became YouView. It wasnโt shut down because it was a ppv model - it was meant to be like an online Freeview. It was shut down because it was deemed unfair competition for private companies. Who are now all Americans.
-
Ian Cleverly (@IanCleverly06) reported from Trethomas, WalesJust an FYI @DMAX_UK but you've just showed Series 3 Ep10 of #Archer, when the Freeview EPG (and your website) has you showing the correct in order Ep 9. It has the same down for the Sat midnight showing (ie Ep 10 is listed in you'll show Ep 9)
-
Dan Tappin (@oitappin) reported from Cardiff, Wales@DooHopper Pick will be an interesting case, no hd an awful picture on Freeview, good slot number but not much heft from Sky to push it.

Andy The Photo Dr โฟ๏ธ ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ (@andythephotoDr) reported@Jcaird2 Itโs basically freeview albeit a bit cut down via the internet. We have been fine without aerial anyway and missed nothing we like but it will be nice to flick through stuff again and stumbling on something to watch.
-
Bridie Macmahon (@bbpmac) reported@BBCNews Well without freeview coverage most of us will never know.
-
Gotta Have Faith (@Suzghf) reportedI bet you haven't even read the info where they're thinking about scrapping all freeview channels. And so to watch TV it'll all be paid online service - that you need ID for! Join the dots.
-
IronWorks1990 (@IronWorks1990) reported@dskiuk2 @Danrocsky76 @cordbusters I went Paris last year and our tv where we stayed was through through aerial, 50 odd channels and every single one of the was HD. Freeview now is terrible in 2026, full of shovelware channels and hardly any HD channels, SD channels look awful as well.
-
anton Simpson (@anton_simp66) reported@JENBROOK8 @CounsellingSam I don't have WiFi at my home only use phone don't use any streaming service only Freeview TV and don't have a mobility car only a disabled bus pass
-
Matt Quinn - The Caledonian Television Company. (@Matt_Q_OnX) reported@sparry951 @diablik_uk @BENEFITS_NEWS It'll be a slow creep; for many years now some channels on the Freeview EPG have in fact been streamed. Freeview recorders are still readily available for those that want them; if you're using Sky/Virgin etc. you're already NOT using the Freeview service that is 'under threat'.
-
Rich Knight (@bathbadger) reported@RugbyBath Despite Prem Rugby saying it's ITV4, The Freeview planner is saying Chiefs V Sarries - i'd ask Prem Rugby, but they never reply!
-
simon robinson (@lincs1simon) reported@DVDfever When my virginmedia cable gas gone down freeview is my plan b lol

the depot (@thedepot9) reported@reformparty_uk i have a freely tv same as freeview but runs off internet instead of an aerial, are you that stupid you dont know about it๐๐๐
-
Stephen Neal (@Stephen_Neal) reported@UHD4k @Bobbinz @SVGEurope Afraid although I work for BBC Studios (which makes shows for the BBC) I have no insight into what iPlayer may support in the future. AAC was chosen for Freeview HD because Dolby had no equivalent receiver-mix audio desc'n support in 2009ish when the platform was standardised.
