  • GeorgeBaldwin14 George Baldwin (@GeorgeBaldwin14) reported from Cardiff, Wales

And has been mentioned before, I and I'm sure many others would never have followed rugby without the Six Nations being free to watch and having it on freeview year after year

  • jonnyhern Jonathan (@jonnyhern) reported from Pontypool, Wales

@Thomoli @PhilipsCare_UK I’ve been waiting 8 weeks for same issue not worked for me since I bought my TV. I dont have an aeriel tho just satellite cable connected & internet but no catch up aps work or freeview

  • IanCleverly06 Ian Cleverly (@IanCleverly06) reported from Trethomas, Wales

Just an FYI @DMAX_UK but you've just showed Series 3 Ep10 of #Archer, when the Freeview EPG (and your website) has you showing the correct in order Ep 9. It has the same down for the Sat midnight showing (ie Ep 10 is listed in you'll show Ep 9)

  • MichaelLeeLewi4 Michael Lee Lewis (@MichaelLeeLewi4) reported from Aberdare, Wales

@kieranjameen Kieran cancel it, my sister did with hers and hasn't missed it, you can buy internet freeview boxes now and you can download all the apps onto them, no monthly payments then, just for what you choose to, much cheaper

  • KAK_Tweets Krys Cross! Cha Cha Real Smooth (@KAK_Tweets) reported from Treorchy, Wales

@flickeringflxme I’ve never seen that one myself but somehow my granddad ended up buying it for himself which was made weirder by the fact he only had freeview so didn’t even have Disney Channel. He loved it though

  • MeurigRogers Morgan Barber-Rogers #FBPE melt and centrist dad (@MeurigRogers) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@bethanjenkins Project Kangaroo became YouView. It wasn’t shut down because it was a ppv model - it was meant to be like an online Freeview. It was shut down because it was deemed unfair competition for private companies. Who are now all Americans.

  • dave_maydew Dave Maydew MW0DCM (@dave_maydew) reported from Tonyrefail, Wales

@FreeviewAdvice @arqiva More disappointed, but I suppose I've got to accept it, after totally cutting the cord. I do have a tech question though. I'm using the Plex Media Server for Freeview, but the supplied EPG by Gracenote is terrible, is there a XML file of the one you use on the Android app

  • anon_caller Dan Sing (@anon_caller) reported

@talkRADIO @mrmarkdolan @Iromg As mobile services take up more and more Freeview airspace tv will be internet only in the future anyway. Perhaps BritBox was set up as the stealth medium for public service broadcasting to earn subscription money, as all the main channels provide programming now.

  • fplKIRK Fpl Kirk (@fplKIRK) reported

@virginmedia had a letter through today.. Price going up to £60 a month for broadband and basic freeview channels? That's absolutely awful, My contract is up where can I find a better value package before I have to leave?

  • F1Memories F1 Memories (@F1Memories) reported

@donnyjuff We've had Freesat since 2010. It's done us well, no real complaints. We watch pretty much everything on catch-up or streaming services now. There are some channels that aren't on Freesat that are on Freeview (Dave is one that spring to mind), but as I said, we've had no issues.

  • PaulVO1975 Paul Gorsedale (@PaulVO1975) reported

@MarkM1177 @HopkinsBRFC @BBCDanielS Do Netflix: Provide programming specifically for the disabled? Provide programmes in Welsh and Gaelic? Provide resources to every school and college in the UK? Maintain the transmitters in which Freeview (the most popular way for the elderly & poor to access TV) broadcast?

  • bdav Ben (@bdav) reported

@pdrisc @joeventre @TheLastUnionist Thats great and all - but what if you don't want that? Just because thats how its always been doesn't mean anyone should be obliged to pay for a service. There are easy ways of moving it to a subscription model given the move to freeview w/CAM

  • iliad1orig iliad #ShakeThoseChains #PeaceAndJustice 💙 (@iliad1orig) reported

@BBCDanielS My 88 year old father in law with partial sight and poor hearing has just been forced to pay the BBC licence fee even though he only uses the TV to watch old movies on non BBC Freeview channels. He says " what is Netflix?"

  • SeasideChris Chris McStill (@SeasideChris) reported

@ttsls @justinbeadle Freeview? Is it more when it’s windy/rainy or all the time? Aerial might be a bit misaligned. There should be a signal strength meter in the tv or box, have a look at that.

  • datkiwinerdboi datkiwinerdboi (@datkiwinerdboi) reported

@ChorusNZ Good news is their new TV service is internet based and doesn't care what connection it has, heck even VDSL from a non-vodafone ISP works. It's quite a convenient service having Freeview + Optional Sky + Apps/Netflix etc in a box without an aerial

  • Jenepel Jenn. Hersey (@Jenepel) reported

@akaHarriet Oh wow! So there isn’t like freeview or terrestrial TV? I’ve never had cable, but I’ve always had the basic channels. I don’t know much about the US system I guess.

  • Gosia79K lucy (@Gosia79K) reported from Edinburgh, Scotland

@BBCWorld No wonder! Freeview is crap and we are sitting at home!
