Andy McKeown (@AndyMcK1982) reported from Liverpool, England@jaxlfc_jj @YaTerrynorris70 It’s not restricted to the BBC. If you watch or record live TV on any channel - either through your TV or through a website - then you need a TV licence. This applies whether you receive Freesat, Freeview or a pay-TV service in your home, & whether or not you watch BBC channels.

Mr Mega Dump (@ChestneyS) reported@darrengrimes Nothing decided yet so I’ll wait until it actually happens before deciding to cancel my subscriptions or not. Tv companies are losing customers right left and centre due to the constant inflation plus 3.9%. I’m seriously looking at just getting a freeview box and a “fire stick “
-
Björn Fri (@bjornfri2020) reported@LeeHurstComic Me. They’re probably just all on a different streaming service, but no way am I signing up for another one, just for one show. Pretty sure it’ll be a lame as The Walking Dead from season 7 onwards. 11 is too many; the energy is gone. I’ll wait till the whole lot is on Freeview.

His Grace, The Lord Godpikachu, Earl of Doncaster. (@Godpikachusan) reported@TheMekon_Venus at one point Bread was being shown on an endless loop on the "Thats entertainment" freeview channel, alongside "man about the house" and "Steptoe & Son". I never found bread to be funny or entertaining in any way, and other than the phrase "lilo lil", it is not memorable.
-
Presley Turberville (@T21949Presley) reported@tvukzone ******* **** off, you unfunny Freeview *****.
-
Sam 1997 (@SamGate360) reported@retrovinmania79 @NoContextBrits You don't the difference between Freeview/DVB (which is the morden digital version of what you said) and a streaming service that requires you to make a profile account to use the software/service even though you don't like on YouTube. You only pay to get rid of the adverts.

BENEFITS NEWS (@BENEFITS_NEWS) reported@aconda_ann I am quite old fashioned as well. I did get a bargain smallish 'internet / smart' TV but no use when freezes or internet cuts off (been happening for years, with no fix). It's on a terrible indoor aerial, so I can't get most Freeview on that one but my fave usual telly: Freeview.

Dave❗️ (@Robbiesmit8) reported@kenton1206 @fergiesreds Ditto… 16 yrs I’ve been with them.. £9 increase last April.. £7 this April incoming.. Trying to soften deluded customers with the *free* Disney + and Max worth £10 a month no one will watch! **** Sky tv I’m back to terrestrial tv with freeview saving £750 per year!

jason_mi7 (@Mi7Jason) reported@WhichUK For live events, internet speed isn’t everything. For reliability and lowest delay, broadcast TV still wins: Freeview, satellite or cable. Fibre streaming is great but usually behind “live”. 5G/4G/Starlink can work well, but depend more on signal, congestion and load.

Intars (@intars) reportedOnly the Brits could reach the top tier of world ice hockey and then have literally zero channels bother showing their games. Proper GB support: ‘We’ll die on the beaches… but not on Freeview, mate. Just pay €30 for the official stream like a proper mug.’
