  @rlwjones @Nick_Metcalfe @MarkyBunny They made one champions League game per round free to air..usually the crap games though..they used to have a channel on Freeview..

  @jaxlfc_jj @YaTerrynorris70 It’s not restricted to the BBC. If you watch or record live TV on any channel - either through your TV or through a website - then you need a TV licence. This applies whether you receive Freesat, Freeview or a pay-TV service in your home, & whether or not you watch BBC channels.

  @Jcaird2 It’s basically freeview albeit a bit cut down via the internet. We have been fine without aerial anyway and missed nothing we like but it will be nice to flick through stuff again and stumbling on something to watch.

  COMMENT: It needs an internet subscription, also an aerial for some progs, if your internet is slow you lose all progs, the manufacturers claim it's the internet problem so you cannot return the TV. It's a complete con for the companies to save supplying Freeview. 🤔🤔🤔

  The Government is threatening to switch off Freeview TV, forcing millions to pay for expensive broadband just to keep their telly. We have just days to force them to back down. Sign the petition and keep free TV free:

  @manumally @wazzak23 Ah for me radio is actually faster that freeview lol. At the moment seems to be just a few seconds tho. Having said that I don’t think matterface is as bad as ppl make out to be fair

  @RetroKeithyD @dave43law I've got Freeview and Freely. Freely is great where you have bad reception. But it eats data. If you have a lower use broadband package you will need to pay for unlimited use. That could hit people on lower incomes. Also had to reboot it a few times, too technical for some.

  @BBCBreaking Not surprised, they are a nightmare when you cancel, even when your income changes when off work. Thankfully got out of it and went back to Freeview.

  @FractalDoctor @DailyMail TV and radio is all that many elderly people have for comfort, especially living on their own with limited mobility, so yes, taking away Freeview is a bad idea. I doubt if too many 80 to 90 year olds have a fast broadband connection !
