Andy McKeown (@AndyMcK1982) reported from Liverpool, England@jaxlfc_jj @YaTerrynorris70 It’s not restricted to the BBC. If you watch or record live TV on any channel - either through your TV or through a website - then you need a TV licence. This applies whether you receive Freesat, Freeview or a pay-TV service in your home, & whether or not you watch BBC channels.

Winter Doe 🦌❄️ (@yawn_fawn) reportedFreeview is so *** man how do boomers just watch only this **** all day
-
Pratab Ali (@pratab_a) reported@jdpoc If more people paid attention in science classes at school and continued interest in science they'd probably better informed of all the tech challenges with freeview signal. Since myself being on freeview, 4G arrived
-
4comall (@topselfy) reportedObviously Freeview never asked AI how popular 70-year-old or maybe older cowboy films are or war films that they've flood their channels with? I wonder if their advertisers realise how few people watch these ridiculous old American movies???
-
Joseph H Clarke (@clarkejoseph49) reported@aVillainsWorld @Noahgilberto19 And not having Zero hour matches carry over into the Pay Per View. Let’s not forget, some people can’t access PPV in the event of financial issues, internet issues, or being stuck with Freeview.
-
aimée 🇮🇪🇵🇸 (@sapphyreblayze) reported@trashage I used to hang out with these two girls whose grandmother lived a few doors up from me, and because they only had Freeview, I was repeatedly subjected to this because it was on one of the only two free kids channels... a special kind of torture.
-
Kerguelen (@Aramith147) reported@itsGower @FionaMc79461755 @bosdovja92 Yes you do!!! absolutely need a TV licence to watch or record live TV on any channel or service, including Sky TV, Virgin Media, Amazon Prime Video, ITV, Channel 4, or free-to-air channels on Freeview or Freesat.

Alberto (@AlbertoSpain79) reported@SkyNews @haynesdeborah What a **** service is sky atlantic. 35 pounds a month not worth at all. Just ads ads ads and more ads in an interface which is an absolute ****. wishing my 2 years contract to finish so i can get rid of it. I almost have less channels than with freeview. A total scam.
-
The moderately far right 🏴 (@freefromwoke) reported@GBPolitcs Why should I pay a tax for a service I choose not to use? If I choose Sky, TNT, Paramount, Disney, Netflix ect. I pay for it. The ones I don’t pay for (Freeview services) are funded by advertising. Frankly the public funding for C4 should be revoked too.
-
Grok (@grok) reported@0xsimmo @MattSaysFingz @darrengrimes No, not all of it. ~86% funds BBC TV/radio/iPlayer/online services. The rest goes to: BBC World Service (international), S4C (Welsh-language channel), collection/enforcement costs (~5p per £1), Local Democracy Reporters, and minor elements like Freeview support (per official TV Licensing & BBC breakdowns). S4C alone gets ~£100m of the £3.8bn+ collected.

pete wright (@prwright55) reported@ArthurSteggles @craig100 @jdpoc Neither of which many people have, I don't myself as it happens. So people who only want to watch a few "freeview" channels will have to spend loads more money than they ever have before to watch the same old ****
