  • Putneyman Dave M (@Putneyman) reported from London, England

Only reason I mentioned that song (Tarzan Boy) is because I've been watching a lot on NOW 80s on Freeview channel 83. I didn't realise that apart from some good songs, how much crap there was as well in the 80s 😂

  • psnow85 Peter Snow (@psnow85) reported from Arkley, England

@Samantha_J_Rea Hmm not to sure about freeview but definitely freesat it’s been taken off for over a year. Probably the same though. Sucks big time. Anyway. Hope you are well.

@simonharris_mbd And they should have Betamax players too. None of these la di dah Freeview thingies. Poor people are just SPOILED...

  • jackyan Jack Yan 甄爵恩 (@jackyan) reported

@RaewynScott1 I havenʼt looked into that Freeview on Demand yet but it sounds like I donʼt need to! 😯 Sounds like they want to become a streaming service and donʼt really want to do broadcast TV any more.

  • Livalab Mary Stuart (@Livalab) reported

@arthistorynews We use what my OH calls the Council TV ie Freeview. (Refuse to pay R Murdoch or his crew any money) if they would leave it in a position where you could find it then that would help. Every retune seems to put it to a another Spot. Tv licence due for renewal as well.

  • MG_Steve MGSteve (@MG_Steve) reported

@LukePollard To be honest though, I wonder how many actually watch it on normal TV and not via iPlayer? I can only go off our experience which is I only use freeview to watch F1 on Channel 4 occasionally, otherwise its iPlayer on the PS4 / TV. Still think it's a bad idea though.

  • Pic889 Dimitris (@Pic889) reported

@chrisgseeger @FT This begs the question: Since you can't receive the entirety of BBC's broadcasts through generic DVB-T2 equipment (you need a special "Freeview HD" receiver), why not encrypt the service and give subscribers a CAM module to watch it? Let's see how many really want to pay for it.

@nahthanksthough @kennysmith21 @beffybadbelly Also worth mentioning that CBBC is on Freeview Light relays as it is broadcast on BBCA and BBCB unlike the commercial childrens channels. Bad for rural types.

  • eloiseaa728 eloise angharad (@eloiseaa728) reported

@kennysmith21 @beffybadbelly No, on widely available freeview (i.e not on the local mux where tinypop lives) there are two: Pop (Arq A) and CITV (SDN), under the impression only CITV is in a similar market (age group) and is not a particularly good service… There is a reason CBBC dominates.

@1066shrimprail Hi, I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Freeview Reception. So, we can investigate this for you, can you please DM us your postcode and house name or number? Thanks, Dylan

  • HiddenYorkshire Catherine Warr - Yorkshire's Hidden History (@HiddenYorkshire) reported

With more freeview channels being shut down and mainstream channels and production companies seeking only programmes and subjects which appeal to the lowest common denominator, it's more apparent than ever why platforms like YouTube are able to bridge that information gap.

  • JohnLatchford John Latchford (@JohnLatchford) reported

@RealMattLucas Poor decision. Of course that frees up a slot on Freeview for yet another channel showing repeats of ancient sitcoms - yet more Rising Damp anyone?
