@jaxlfc_jj @YaTerrynorris70 It’s not restricted to the BBC. If you watch or record live TV on any channel - either through your TV or through a website - then you need a TV licence. This applies whether you receive Freesat, Freeview or a pay-TV service in your home, & whether or not you watch BBC channels.

  • quodignoratum Myles Winstone (@quodignoratum) reported from Warrington, England

@TalkingPicsTV Definitely. We struggle getting Freeview and as you’re not on BT TV I’m missing my fix!

@tjtex26 BBC1 was a bad example but Sky 1 isn't part of Freeview is it, as far as I can see if you want Sky Sports through sky and not now TV you need to have sky's contract for Sky 1 etc

@RowdyRe80996794 @colinbrazierGBN Yeah - but only truly stupid UK people think it's just telly. BBC is state owned, so it's funded by a fee or a tax They have 6 channels of TV, countless radio stations inc Radio 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 - plus they run the the Freeview network that digital TV for aerials

  • LMilk007 LennyMilk007 (@LMilk007) reported

@daisypops63 Diabolical....it caused me to run to booze shop and back .... however it looks still awful on council TV ( freeview) for the hours ahead although some #LouisTheroux appears in my channel hop antics

  • eloiseaa728 eloise angharad (@eloiseaa728) reported

@kennysmith21 @beffybadbelly No, on widely available freeview (i.e not on the local mux where tinypop lives) there are two: Pop (Arq A) and CITV (SDN), under the impression only CITV is in a similar market (age group) and is not a particularly good service… There is a reason CBBC dominates.

  • djuwannamann Ben Dover (@djuwannamann) reported

@sophieelsworth @australian @aus_media No one under 35 watches Freeview TV It's garbage and cringy program after program. Over saturated with ridiculously edited and scripted "reality tv" and the news has become biasedly partisan, misinforming, innacurrate and disingenuous. Freeview basically strangled itself
