Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Pontypridd and nearby locations:

  • dave_maydew Dave Maydew MW0DCM (@dave_maydew) reported from Tonyrefail, Wales

@FreeviewAdvice @arqiva More disappointed, but I suppose I've got to accept it, after totally cutting the cord. I do have a tech question though. I'm using the Plex Media Server for Freeview, but the supplied EPG by Gracenote is terrible, is there a XML file of the one you use on the Android app

  • MeurigRogers Morgan Barber-Rogers #FBPE melt and centrist dad (@MeurigRogers) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@bethanjenkins Project Kangaroo became YouView. It wasn’t shut down because it was a ppv model - it was meant to be like an online Freeview. It was shut down because it was deemed unfair competition for private companies. Who are now all Americans.

  • MichaelLeeLewi4 Michael Lee Lewis (@MichaelLeeLewi4) reported from Aberdare, Wales

@kieranjameen Kieran cancel it, my sister did with hers and hasn't missed it, you can buy internet freeview boxes now and you can download all the apps onto them, no monthly payments then, just for what you choose to, much cheaper

  • IanCleverly06 Ian Cleverly (@IanCleverly06) reported from Trethomas, Wales

Just an FYI @DMAX_UK but you've just showed Series 3 Ep10 of #Archer, when the Freeview EPG (and your website) has you showing the correct in order Ep 9. It has the same down for the Sat midnight showing (ie Ep 10 is listed in you'll show Ep 9)

  • GeorgeBaldwin14 George Baldwin (@GeorgeBaldwin14) reported from Cardiff, Wales

And has been mentioned before, I and I'm sure many others would never have followed rugby without the Six Nations being free to watch and having it on freeview year after year

  • KAK_Tweets Krys Cross! Cha Cha Real Smooth (@KAK_Tweets) reported from Treorchy, Wales

@flickeringflxme I’ve never seen that one myself but somehow my granddad ended up buying it for himself which was made weirder by the fact he only had freeview so didn’t even have Disney Channel. He loved it though

@EilisOHanIon I record all episodes of every series that I want to watch on my old Freeview+ box and never start watching until the whole series is recorded. It's the only bit of self-control I can exercise these days. It also means I can >>Fast Forward>> the adverts in 30 second jumps.

  • mrneilmorrow Neil Morrow (@mrneilmorrow) reported

@JohnSimpsonNews I think there's a difference between it being available on the Internet and on Freeview. German radio broadcasts could presumably be heard on a crackling signal in WWII. Not on HD on a 50 inch screen in my living room. Or do you see them as essentially the same?

  • DarkNightMoofie ✌🏻Gary/Gawy✌🏻 (@DarkNightMoofie) reported

@Forces_TV are there any plans to bring your channel to the non HD service of Freeview?

  • worldsbestman Andrew Thompson (@worldsbestman) reported

@RestoreTVHelp Thank you very much for solving a long term issue I had with my Freeview Channels. Cards through the letter box normally go in the bin! Got one from RTV. Filled out online form, called them, 2 days later magic little box arrived and 5 mins later problem solved👍🙏

  • SatwantBee Satwant Bee (@SatwantBee) reported

@rlrossi64 Good question. I'm guessing: network television; broadcast TV; digital TV channels; Freeview. Creates a distinction between those and streaming services, I guess.

  • FactsStomp Phil's Train and Retro Life (@FactsStomp) reported

@cleanfeed_ttvr I find this practice annoying mostly because if they don't flag each episode with "New..." the series link doesn't work, at least on Freeview anyway. Plus it highlights just how many 'encore presentations' are on even the main channels now.

  • kelaher զʊǟռȶʊʍ (@kelaher) reported

@je_au @MichaelWestBiz I agree on the conditional DRM thing, though not 'trivial'. Also a confusing user experience. Example (real world, lived, me) - FreeView TV app no login - many TVs have Freeview AND native apps. Freeview has "missing content" for that reason - customer complaints result !

  • Garybo1977 Gary Hall (@Garybo1977) reported from Belfast, Northern Ireland

TV win in UK. Kill Bill and The Good, the bad and the ugly currently both on Freeview

  • CraftExtraITV Craft Extra ITV 📺🛍️ (@CraftExtraITV) reported

@Page_888 @AdamNostalgia Ideal Extra on Freeview channel 94 Closed down 17 Mar 2022

  • Garybo1977 Gary Hall (@Garybo1977) reported from Belfast, Northern Ireland

The Good The Bad and the Ugly and Kill Bill are currently beside each other on Freeview channels. Dichotomy
