@bethanjenkins Project Kangaroo became YouView. It wasn’t shut down because it was a ppv model - it was meant to be like an online Freeview. It was shut down because it was deemed unfair competition for private companies. Who are now all Americans.

  • GeorgeBaldwin14 George Baldwin (@GeorgeBaldwin14) reported from Cardiff, Wales

And has been mentioned before, I and I'm sure many others would never have followed rugby without the Six Nations being free to watch and having it on freeview year after year

@HumaxUK FVP_5000T. Cannot go backwards in the EPG anymore. Players screen often doesn't launch properly, giving me no way into Freeview Play providers. Live TV app doesn't work properly and hasn't been updated in years. Any plans to fix any of this? #humax

  • Andyging Andy Clayton (@Andyging) reported

@nedboulting @ITV4 Would love to watch some of your coverage but the picture quality on @ITV4 via freeview is so bad it’s unwatchable

  • RTWRich RtwRich 🇬🇧 🇪🇺 🇺🇦 (@RTWRich) reported

@mediaguardian If I were working @Channel4 I'd be plotting a plan for entire workforce to walk out en masse, set up a new, non profit, charitable foundation trust, then obtain digital licenses for a reborn Network 4 (eg taking over the Freeview/public slot used by failing local city stations).

  • francophile2004 Rosalind Peacock (@francophile2004) reported

@cindyclareb @nedboulting ps get yourself a Freesat/Freeview box from Amazon. About £30. Works a treat...

  • tomfawcett88 Tom Fawcett (@tomfawcett88) reported

@petemorristwit Just about to cancel BTTV. It's awful. Broadband is OK. Just get a freeview box.

  • there_is_no_if Simon Dau (@there_is_no_if) reported

@Candice57413407 In general, it's fine. I'm just annoyed at the business model of double profits. Typically nowadays you either offer paid service with no ads (I.e. Netflix), or ad powered service for free (freeview/terestrial TV). Sky is grabbing money here with both hands.

  • wrobexee1 Mike Weir (@wrobexee1) reported

@Stuart_NashMP I understand you are in charge of Freeview. Just letting you know that I have an issue that a number of people are experiencing, but all communications with Freeview go into the void, I have msg'd them 4 times and called them 4 times. No response from any of them

  • 2_Wheeled_Wolf @2_Wheeled_Wolf 🇪🇺 (@2_Wheeled_Wolf) reported

@JamesNonchalant the joy of recording on freeview, watch what I like, skip all the **** in the breaks & avoid all news.

  • back_the_BBC Back the BBC 📺📻📡📱 (@back_the_BBC) reported

@NightEthereal @JohnDon84246724 You can't implement a subscription service without removing universal, free to air access over radio and Freeview. So millions would lose access. The idea behind a standard charge is government can't control it

  • sparkywebdev sparky (@sparkywebdev) reported

@GBNEWS My parents are nearly 70. They do not want and will never get the Internet apart from on their phones. Their TV in the bedroom broke but they still use freeview boxes. Try to buy a new 40" TV that doesn't need the internet.. its impossible. Telly really is dead already..
