@TalkTalk It would be nice if you could reduce or remove a £40 charge for an engineer who called but made no inspection of equipment, explained that Freeview channels had been altered; a fact that your customer services were not aware of, but should have known.

  • Davidp1103 Davidp (@Davidp1103) reported from Gravesend, England

@Complyorcry @Back_Two_Mee To @TalkTalk they are okay but the broadband is not a good as VM but it's okay; it cut the monthly bill in half. I have since dropped their tv service and bought a freeview recorder. Monthly bill for broadband/phone £38

Some days I really wish I'd kept all those calls to @JimDavisOnAir on my freeview box. I've been sent way back in time with a USB memory stick, a few years back with some calls. Damn, I really miss those days with the song choice and #JimDavisLive And it was just brilliant radio

Question for arts people. We don’t use Freeview as our signal is much more reliable using Apple TV through our internet connection. Is there a way I can get @SkyArts via Apple TV?

  • adrianatkins196 adrian atkins (@adrianatkins196) reported from Crayford, England

  • Dante_Banks Danté Banks (@Dante_Banks) reported from Tottenham, England

@tinytwink The poor shouldn't have anything they have to work for. Big screen TV - nope. Netflix - what's wrong with Freeview? Mobile phone - can't they walk to the phone box on the corner that was disconnected five years ago. They think if you're poor you should suffer or not be poor.

  • PlexNetflix Martin Phillp 🔶 (@PlexNetflix) reported from Camberwell, England

  • summers_allan Allan Kempson (@summers_allan) reported from Romford, England

@talkSPORT @Sjopinion10 That's a bad idea. Sky have rights to other sports too, so a netflix football service would be yet another thing to pay for if you like multiple sports. More football needs to be on freeview channels like BBC and ITV.

  • StevenGothard Steven Gothard (@StevenGothard) reported from Sutton at Hone, England

@vtvseries I can't get v on forces tv I have Freeview can you help me please?.V

  • Davidp1103 Davidp (@Davidp1103) reported from Snodland, England

Continually frustrated by @TalkTalk and its inconsistent service and performance. Have today purchased a freeview recorder to replace their box and will be actively looking for new broadband provider.

Freeview Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • BrexitFoxy The People's Foxy 🦊 (@BrexitFoxy) reported

@CraggsLewis @tvlicensing @tvlicensingnews If it's the live stream, as it's also a Freeview broadcast channel then yeah you need a TV licence. If you're just watching catch-up on-demand clips, then you don't need one. The law is stupid, but that's the way it is at the moment.

  • Easy_As_He_Him Autist na h-Alba - Sexy Sexy Sigma (@Easy_As_He_Him) reported

@e500v they should be on ITV and ITV4 and we should be on ITV2 but **** us and shove us into the darkness of the freeview channel list.

  • k4bladesagain cheekfulloftongue🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (@k4bladesagain) reported

@GBNfans Still not a great picture on my freeview. Don't know if it's their end or just a weak signal but needs to be HD. Something to go up against question time on Thursdays. More variety/presenters...its starting to get a bit "samey" all the time.

  • FplStatsdan Dan 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 (@FplStatsdan) reported

UK peeps: is there any way to watch ITV4 in HD if you only have Freeview? Relegating the match which actually matters for qualification to ITV4 is a poor move from ITV.

  • DaMisanthrope Alan Wen (@DaMisanthrope) reported

I never even use ITV’s other channels and suspiciously can’t find ITV4 on freeview. But it’s on the ITV hub app. Bah, I don’t care anyway. Got other stuff to do this evening.

  • TheScottishTra1 The Scottish Traveller (@TheScottishTra1) reported

So here's a thing, would the argument, Freeview is advertised as free and never mentions the required TV Licence stand up in a Court? Afterall, it's out there enforcing the false statement, "It's FREE" #DefundTheBBC

  • VinnieVonStarr1 Vinnie Von Starr (@VinnieVonStarr1) reported

@mitsyarty In these days of on-demand TV who still watches adverts? We keep being told how hard done by anyone who isn't white is, maybe the advertisers think they are the only ones so poor they can only afford Freeview?

  • Geoff_NUFC GPM (@Geoff_NUFC) reported

@JustCraggles @virginmedia @BlueYonder I had the same, went from paying £40 a month to nearly £70. Dropped the TV because its ****, I was on the basic TV which is pretty much freeview. Went to sky for TV and was going to take the sky broadband until they gave me a reduced price. Its worth complaining about.

  • korewatori Tori (@korewatori) reported

@TheApsy17 @WechGangInt legit it's so ******* stupid. There's something called freeview that gives you access to quite a large amount of basic channels but I don't think that includes the BBC. The licence is required to watch anything produced by the BBC and to watch stuff when its broadcasted live

  • hughster Hughster (@hughster) reported

@vwcampervanaldr They've been paying for ads on it from day one. And no, I don't have issues with Skwawkbox/Canary because—and again, the TLDR of "poor analogy" applies—they're not Freeview TV news channels, not supposedly Ofcom regulated & not funded/promoted/defended by the government.
