@JoPOWz Hi Joachim, I'm really sorry you were having issues accessing YouTube yesterday. We did find an issue that was resolved by yesterday afternoon, are you still having problems accessing the website? -Tony Plusnet Sheffield

  • JoPOWz Joachim (@JoPOWz) reported

@Plusnet Hey, youtube is inaccessible to me today on my home internet (desktop/laptop browser version - mobile app works OK if I don't mind squinting at a tiny screen). Works for friends on other providers. Any chance you have a fix for this lined up?

  • rutheclements86 Ruth (@rutheclements86) reported

@Plusnet hi - our internet is down, please could you DM and advise on when it will be restored as working from home is difficult. Have tried your online support but as we don’t have a landline it doesn’t work. Thanks!

  • VanKellett Barry Kellett (@VanKellett) reported

@systematicdata Thanks for this - Would never have figured it out otherwise. What a weird decision from BT and plusnet

  • systematicdata AL (@systematicdata) reported

Discovered the problem. BT and plusnet have apparently added YouTube to their parental settings so it won’t load unless parental controls are turned off. That’s a couple of million people that won’t be able to get on YouTube.

  • Anoninja7 Anoninja (@Anoninja7) reported

@Plusnet is there a problem with Plusnet/BT DNS? YouTube on certain devices isn’t accessible on your standard DNS servers (which unbelievably aren’t configurable on your hub)…

  • plot130 Donnythebull (@plot130) reported

@Plusnet Hi when I am connected to my plusnet home broadband our PCs will not connect to the YouTube website. If I connect to a different network like a hotspot, YouTube works fine. The same is true for videos in Google Photos. This has only started since yesterday. Any ideas?

  • NickWales77 Nick Ferguson (@NickWales77) reported

@DeoNonFortuna3 They are the ISP I recommend, on the basis of UK support, they are a branch of Openreach, so when you need support it costs them nothing, whereas none BT/Plusnet have to pay Openreach to investigate. They don't steal bandwidth/speed. The changeover can be a pain, but true of any.

@Plusnet I’m tweeting out of complete frustration. I have been overcharged by you for months and months and months. I’ve spoken to several managers and it’s still not resolved. Maybe being this public will help?
