I’m leaving @Plusnet I told them last week Ever since then I’ve had problems with my #internet connection! It’s dropped out twice today already. Is #PlusNet vindictive? Funny how this has just started happening now.

  • DarthRider4 Darth Rider (@DarthRider4) reported

@Plusnet Making a call from my Plusnet mobile to a land-line, if the land line is engaged your network does not give an engaged tone it just drops the call like you had dialled an unknown number.

  • MagnificoFigaro Masked Figaro (@MagnificoFigaro) reported

@supertanskiii Ours was shite too. Kept loosing wi-Fi on all devices. Its a known issue that the device switches between 2.4 and 5 ghz depending on range but fails and drops the device. Spoke to Plusnet and they talked me through disabling 5 ghz. After that haven’t had any problem.

  • KittiKat76 Kittikat (@KittiKat76) reported

@Plusnet our landline has had no dial tone for two weeks, but you can ring in? Please help

  • NickCla35508819 NC (@NickCla35508819) reported

@supertanskiii Buy your own devolo wifi magic 2 power line adapters are really good you can clone it to your existing router or put you plusnet on modem mode only. Theres lots options out there. Will cost £90-130. But check if it's your download speeds going into your property are crap first?

  • Plusnet Plusnet (@Plusnet) reported

@KittiKat76 You provided us your account username on a previous contact you made to us through this support channel. -Tony Plusnet Sheffield

  • nettymartin Martin McDonald 💙 (@nettymartin) reported

@supertanskiii If you're still in your contract then PlusNet should really sort you out with a replacement. Found out that the broadband companies actually use refurbished routers a lot, which is great for reducing waste but means the customer thinks its packing in early

  • recameja tigersb 💚🐕 (@recameja) reported

@supertanskiii I hab similar problems Bought a second hand BT smart home hub 6 As Plusnet are owned by BT,the setup is pretty straightforward I've had no problems since

  • ArchitectMing Ming Cheng RIBA RTPI (@ArchitectMing) reported

@supertanskiii I have a Plusnet account and can confirm you do NOT need to use their router. You only need to know your login name & password, which they will tell you and you can use a third-party router.

  • FoodMan_aka Food Man (@FoodMan_aka) reported

@supertanskiii What is the problem with your Plusnet router ? Have you spoken to Plusnet and asked them for a new one ? You shouldn't need to retain your existing router as a modem I'm a big fan of Draytek and Cisco routers but they can be tricky to set up as there's a LOT in there to bugger up
