@supertanskiii I’ve been with Plusnet for a long time. Their routers are pretty poor. Try Netgear, they do router/modem combined. Always found they perform well. If you’re on fibre their Orbi system I superb thi gives you mesh’ Wi-Fi which negates the need for extenders

  • 67Spiel Luke, riding the wave 💙💙💙 (@67Spiel) reported

@supertanskiii Ring em. Plusnet actually do customer service unlike talk talk.

  • steviweavi 🇪🇺Stevi - Carping still #JohnsonNotMyPM #3.5% (@steviweavi) reported

@supertanskiii Surely first stop is ask Plusnet to send a new one. If its shite, connecting to something else that then connects to the router won't necessarily fix the problem

  • salisbury1983 Mark Salisbury (@salisbury1983) reported

@Plusnet Worst ISP ever, poor customer service and unreliable connectivity. Speeds so low compared with projected speed. Made the switch an low and behold much better service. Should of learnt when plusnet was branded as the abysmal madasafish…..

  • ArchitectMing Ming Cheng RIBA RTPI (@ArchitectMing) reported

@supertanskiii I have a Plusnet account and can confirm you do NOT need to use their router. You only need to know your login name & password, which they will tell you and you can use a third-party router.

  • ButtonsPressing Rory Presses 📺 buttons 🌱 (@ButtonsPressing) reported

@supertanskiii I am also with Plusnet and I found the router wasn’t good either, so I bought a Netgear Nighthawk. Nice user interface but it wasn’t reliable, kept needing to be reset. I eventually bought a Draytek Vigor 2862. Awful user interface but it’s very powerful and hasn’t let me down.

@supertanskiii Buy your own devolo wifi magic 2 power line adapters are really good you can clone it to your existing router or put you plusnet on modem mode only. Theres lots options out there. Will cost £90-130. But check if it's your download speeds going into your property are crap first?

  • DarthRider4 Darth Rider (@DarthRider4) reported

@Plusnet Making a call from my Plusnet mobile to a land-line, if the land line is engaged your network does not give an engaged tone it just drops the call like you had dialled an unknown number.

  • CaptJolly Roland Rodgers 😷💙 (@CaptJolly) reported

@supertanskiii The current Plusnet routers are pretty OK. Made by Sagemcom. Similar to last generation BT. There are many excellent replacements available. You do need to clarify whether you have issues with the *Router bit" or the "WiFi bit". You can add a better WiFi AP to your Plusnet

  • dcag39 David Gibson (@dcag39) reported

@supertanskiii If you have Fibre broadband you need a VDSL Modem router, log in to your plusnet account search in help for own router and it should tell you what details you need to put in your new router to connect to there network.
