Had to write a cheque the other day, no idea where my cheque book is so got a postal order instead. £35 postal order cost me £39.80!!!! WTF!! Why does it cost so much? Surely a £35 postal order should be £35 or something like a £1 processing fee max @PostOffice #ripoff

  • tuttutnosey Mrs Collywobble (@tuttutnosey) reported from Redcar, England

@JonMathias8 @ChrisNJWilliams @PostOffice What happens when there's an imminent bank collapse? We've had them frequently before. There's the usual run on the bank/building society to get all your cash out. If there's no cash your money will just sink with the bank. My mam lost £33,000 in 1993, never got a penny back.

And yet again @postoffice customers queuing out of door whilst one member of staff ‘serves’. 2nd counter always closed. People are on lunch breaks yet offered no apology for poor waiting times. #littlehulton.

@myluminous The existing luminous UPS at Paniparul postoffice had changed UPS recently, but net result is zero. The backup timing 10-15 minutes,I request you to look into the matter as your earliest, I have informed the service center but to no result get,

  • timspencer1 Tim Spencer - Film Editor, Musician, Dad (@timspencer1) reported

@CatHobbs @ZackPolanski I've noticed how shite the @PostOffice has become since privatisation. All the local postboxes shut, massive queues to use services and hardly ever open sorting offices. Privatisation never works unless you are one of the shareholders siphoning the cash.

  • russelguppy Russel Guppy (@russelguppy) reported

@PostOffice 25/9/25 15:19, can't confirm what the time was for 2023 and fully expect to be tweeting you in 2027 with the same issue as you logged it in 2023 and fed back to no avail it seems.

@PostOffice I , up to now have been a regular customer of Halifax PO. Can you please tell me why it is all 3 self service machines are cash only. People shouldn't have to queue for 2 stamps or be forced to pay by card for a meagre amount. Arsy girl behind counter says it's 1/2

  • blaw711 Last Generationist - Ultricem Angelus Mortis (@blaw711) reported

Last week I tried to return a parcel to @shoptemu. The stupid @PostOffice didn't cover the existing label, despite my request and today the equally stupid Evri brought it back to me. Trying to get any service from any of them is impossible!!! Bunch of wasters the lot of them!

  • CowdrillEmma Emma Cowdrill (@CowdrillEmma) reported

@PostOffice trying to buy second class stamps took 4 visits to my local branch - no stamps at all, shut (3pm on a Sat,) safe not open (9am on a Sat,) first class only Very poor

@emmalouchu @PostOffice Yes, the post office has always been busy ...but now the queue isn't moving forward....it takes at least 10 times longer for each transaction to be done and there are only 3 staffed counters. It has not been that bad since COVID.

  • MadSkullSpider MadSkullAndWeirdSpider (@MadSkullSpider) reported

@DrMartinGray @RupertLowe10 @Keir_Starmer It’s goinf to cost a lot to implement, it’s an it solution like the NHS unified healthcare system or the PostOffice system. It will be outsourced to the cheapest provider. It will be riddled with bugs. It would be cheaper to just tattoo everyone with a number on their arm.
