Post Office Issues Reports Near Gosport, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Gosport and nearby locations:

  • rahim94 Rahim™ 🇬🇧🇲🇦 (@rahim94) reported from Southampton, England

@_bowandarrows_ @PostOffice meh... I'm done with them. there's bigger issues atm as you've probably seen recently

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@PostOffice You sure about that? Seeing as I work in a PO that also does the Check & Send service. The help pages on Horizon, combined with the training workbook and the booklet supplied with the form directly contradicts your statement. Even when renewing online, they still ask for photos.

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@PostOffice @ellaloui_se Surely it depends on what the stated weight, actual weight and service used is? EG. If the parcel was 2nd class and both stated weight and actual weight were in the right price bracket (for example both under 2kg), would it actually matter as the price would be the same anyway?

  • PipRichardson Pip Richardson (@PipRichardson) reported from Southampton, England

@PostOffice seriously can’t believe you are not allowed to lend pens out to customers because of #COVID__19 . #gooddeedforday just lent another customer my pen! She was so grateful ... #littiethings that matter !

  • KeithMitchell_ Keith Mitchell (@KeithMitchell_) reported from East Cowes, England

Travelling need to redirect mail from a temporary address at end of redirecting period on line @PostOffice and @RoyalMail #CustomerService appalling can’t help me complete waste of time

  • JulesFM Jules Field (@JulesFM) reported from Southampton, England

@PostOffice After Amzn repeatedly sending stock responses teaching me how to use pickup locations, I finally got their "the customer is well pissed off" stock response, which asked me to call them. I've explained in words of 1 syllable & they are going to look into it. Will let you know!

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@PostOffice I only jumped in to that thread as you were implying to the customer that it was possible to do such a thing when every counter clerk in the country will tell you the exact opposite. Unless, by postage labels, you meant buying postage labels online which would annoy all clerks.

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@PostOffice He’s talking about online returns, not labels purchased from the Click & Drop service.

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@PostOffice The reality is that there is no service that guarantees delivery in 24 hours on Parcelforce International services. Even before the pandemic, such a vision is impossible. If you read Parcelforce's website, it says delivery is from the next working day, not delivered the next day.

  • Brynwales Bryn Jones🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧🇪🇺🏳️‍🌈 (@Brynwales) reported from East Cowes, England

    @coldhardfacts7 @PostOffice @DVLAgovuk Richard I asked a question I didn't require abuse #idiot

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@_EmmaBeswick @PostOffice I may be able to help you out. A tracking no. would only be available on International Tracked & Signed or International Tracked services. Usually the tracking no. would start with RN or LB or similar. The French courier would be La Poste.

  • JulesFM Jules Field (@JulesFM) reported from Southampton, England

@PostOffice They still show as an option, but when you select that particular one it then fails to appear as where you want it delivered to. Not just me, happens to others too. Other POs seem fine (e.g. Portswood down the road).

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@PostOffice No problem. Adding to my earlier point, the last posting date for surface to USA/Canada was more than 2 weeks ago. If the customer wanted to send Xmas cards that way, it wouldn't have got there until after Xmas/January. May be worth bearing in mind before talking to that branch.

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@samrogersphotos @PostOffice Second class tracked is a service that doesn't exist, that's why. You have 2nd class signed for, which is not tracked but gives you confirmation of delivery. The other service that vaguely resembles your request is Tracked 48, which you cannot buy in a PO anyway.

  • DeadPigeonSoc The Dead Pigeon Society) (@DeadPigeonSoc) reported from Fareham, England

@UBn9ohogz0XOFWP @PostOffice Totally agree!! Seriously bad and ill thought out advertising tactics from the Post Office! 😡

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@PostOffice @marcball90 If it's a Royal Mail service, the max compensation is £250. For certain Parcelforce services, it can go up to £2500 but be prepared for a hefty price tag.

  • Rangers_Bognor Rangers@Bognor (@Rangers_Bognor) reported from East Wittering, England

@TDisposition @PostOffice Tip for today . Never laugh at your own jokes ps your blocked 🤡

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@RichieTheFruit @PostOffice I think the PO should clarify that statement a little bit more. They can accept Tracked 24/48 if they are returns to online retailers ie. Amazon, H&M etc. but it’s only the Tracked 24/48 that specifically comes from RM’s Click & Drop service which can’t be accepted at a PO.

  • Philip471 Philip Woods (@Philip471) reported from Shanklin, England

@wweLovatic4ever @PostOffice Sounds like a scam. Royal Mail would never ask you to pay £1.99 for redelivery. They would have left a card if there was a parcel that couldn't be delivered.

  • helenfrancesbul helenfrancesbull (@helenfrancesbul) reported from Sheffield, England

TGIF... it's been a funny old week! Lessons learned... "treat people as you wish to be treated" I'd like to acknowledge Liz @Tesco for her exceptional customer service skills & will refrain from shaming the unhelpful/rude woman at @PostOffice #customerservice

  • ratman97 chris summers (@ratman97) reported from Bromley, England

@PostOffice just a small complaint. Had a parcel delivered today, left in the food waste bin, so far no problem, except the bin was about half full of food waste. Had to clean my package outside before opening it and bringing it in.

  • Kat_Salmon Katarina Salmon (@Kat_Salmon) reported from Leicestershire, England

@PostOffice what’s the best way to try and track down a parcel without having been given a receipt 😳

  • SophieLizzieJxo sophie❤️olly murs (@SophieLizzieJxo) reported from Bury, England

@PostOffice Thanks I be in 5 time now I staff saiding the system down so why have a engineer not be out to it

  • AgbajiMichael Michael Agbaji (@AgbajiMichael) reported from Manchester, England

Thanks @RoyalMail @PostOffice for forgetting and losing my envelope while addressing it to the Student Finance PO Box 🙃 It took yous a month just to realize that and reply back. An apology won't resolve the issue. P.S: My birth-certificate was in that envelope! 👏🏿👏🏿

  • millennial_tom Tom Sargeant (@millennial_tom) reported from Reading, England

@Cremedevape @PostOffice @WHSmith @parcelforce @RoyalMailHelp Absolute comedy of errors going on here. I wouldn’t mind much, except this was a really important package to me!

  • SophieLizzieJxo sophie❤️olly murs (@SophieLizzieJxo) reported from Bury, England

@PostOffice I have been in bury post office 5 times to try and send off for my cctv badge and every time I have been in they have said it’s down the system I am not happy about this as I need to send off for it thanks

  • RMajor86 Richard Major (@RMajor86) reported from Farnham, England

Eventually the other self service till was fixed. From what I could gather, it just had to be turned on. Why not turn both on in the morning, I don’t know. Who knew that putting @PostOffice’s into the worst shop on the High Street, @WHSmith, would mean it would all go to shit...

  • jimmoores Jim Moores (@jimmoores) reported from Rochdale, England

@PostOffice Not for much longer at ours in Heywood. It is closing down and we are going to get a little counter in a shop in much smaller premises. Thousands signed a petition but all of the services you are promoting here will be denied to people of Heywood. Disgraceful @PostOffice

  • helenfrancesbul helenfrancesbull (@helenfrancesbul) reported from Solihull, England

@siany_d @PostOffice I don't for one minute think the lady in question was going to be using her own stationary, nor did I expect it. Let's agree to differ. I reiterate my first point that the post office displays dreadful customer service.
