Sorry, but Santander needs 48 hours to figure this out (or in my case, 3 months & counting!) Guess you’ll just have to be homeless. Love to see Ant & Dec act that one out! @santanderuk

If you try to buy something online, send money from savings to current account, answer questions and say you have not seen the item in person, they lock the account. John Kirby (@csljohnkirby) reportedI have written "GBP Sterling Only" after the amount on every cheque I have ever written in the UK, and for the first time today, since first having a current account (Chequebook) aged 16 to now, I am 60, the @DVLAgovuk has rejected a cheque saying I have "it is competed incorrectly" stating that wording is not permitted and prevents them from accepting it as a valid form of payment. I have checked with @santanderuk and they said it is completely fine. In 44 years, it has not been an issue, and I think rather than the DVLA being so judgmental and making accusations that are false, they should be honest and say our preference is....
