@jammierooroo @SkyUK £170????? Is she paying for her neighbours too? That's despicable. My MIL signed up for two @SunLife policies, has paid over £10k in, will get about £4k back. They won't listen to our argument about her dementia, won't pause the payments and if we cancel she'll lose it all..

@jammierooroo @CindyTh3Dog @SkyUK And with more things online, and you are told NEVER to share your password. It doesn't make sense.

@jammierooroo @SkyUK @EE UK charges a 99p/minute "connection fee" on mobile if you call a 0845 number, which includes many forms of customer service, on top of the 1 to 7p cost of calling an 0845 number. There is absolutely no justification for such predatory and greedy pricing which disproportionately older citizens or people on lower income.

@jackisgeeky @jammierooroo @SkyUK You can only cancel by phoning them and if you do try to you end up with a bigger package.

@jammierooroo @SkyUK My 77yo MIL was recently scammed out of 75,000 by fraudsters and M&S, MBNA and Santander also loaned her 20,15 and 20k . Problem is she didn’t apply and is a pensioner living alone, half deaf and early stage cognitive decline . The police are looking into the fraud which involved clearing her savings accounts at BoS, opening a Revolut and Kraken crypto account to funnel all the money to from her savings accounts and the loans on top. To say the BoScotland, Revolut , M&S, MBNA and Kraken have been unhelpful is an understatement of enormous proportions. The elderly need better protection from services that insist they hold online accounts. How does anyone lend a 77year old 55,000 in 48 hours with no affordability checks or veracity checks and then only want to talk about paying on time. The elderly are so vulnerable online and none seems to give a monkeys. BoS allowed over 130,000 to flow in and out her bank account over an 8 day period on an account that averaged 280 pounds per month flows over the last 2 years and total balance never changed more than 1-2,000 in that time. M&S will lend online easily but to complain or speak to anyone about you have to write to them and after doing so they refuse to discuss it . The elderly are cannon fodder online.

@jammierooroo @SkyUK No ********. They dont even call when youre out of contract as it goes to a rolling contract. They NEVER call. It was either a scam or you're talking ****. I suspect the latter to push an agenda

@jammierooroo @SkyUK BT pulled similar **** with my elderly mum, they persuaded her she needed their WiFi net stuff at 40 quid extra a month. It's meant so you can get a signal 50 metres away in your summer house or similar, she lives in a one bedroom sheltered housing flat.

@jammierooroo @JonPertwee1919 @SkyUK That is awful. She will have cooling off period so jump on it. I’m looking to ditch Sky and considering the EE TV option ~ anyone reading this who has it, what’s your experience been?

@beccahans @jammierooroo @SkyUK Well 'if' they have, anything they offer is always with a discount when you speak to them out of contract so she's still talking crap. Anyone out of contract does not come of worse. however, they dont
