    @jammierooroo @SkyUK Cancel it altogether, she won't miss it, people think they can't live without it. Get a Freesat box, there's plenty to watch on there. Best wishes to her.

    @jammierooroo @JamesMillerHi @SkyUK Sit with her while she calls them back. Put it on speakerphone, so you can hear. The contract was made over the phone. That is distance selling. She has a 14 day cooling off period to cancel it.

    @jammierooroo @SkyUK £170????? Is she paying for her neighbours too? That's despicable. My MIL signed up for two @SunLife policies, has paid over £10k in, will get about £4k back. They won't listen to our argument about her dementia, won't pause the payments and if we cancel she'll lose it all..

    @jammierooroo @SkyUK There’s a cooling-off clause on all phone contracts (ex-Sky customer here) so she should get it corrected.

    @jammierooroo @SkyUK Do take a look at the distance selling regulations under the Consumer Rights Act if needs be. There's a right to cancel within 14 days. Sky should be fully aware of this.

    So it turns out that One Touch Switch and continuing you service until new service is active doesn’t mean anything to @SkyUK No broadband for two days, despite having paid for it as well.

    @Iolanthe2345 @CindyTh3Dog @SkyUK It amazes me, any of us could get hit by a bus tomorrow and the family are left with this horrible situation, it’s 2026 for gods sake, there has to be a better way to deal with the bereaved.
