You need to up your game in this regard Tesco.

How is automated service able to allow me to increase my safety buffer, but cannot allow me to buy an already overpriced data package with that increase. You have switched off number which I have had for over 7 years and today, I was told to cancel contract with Tesco as ‘we don’t know how to fix it’ so best way is to cancel it!

This is essential for businesses, and something I've literally never come across not being available on any phone plan. Shocking.
