18 months after stopping #BT BB due to shocking service returning as @virginmedia don't serve new home. Terrible sales experience with @bt_uk promised delivery date & mobile back up if couldn't be met. Delivery date delayed, no interim service offered as promised. @BTCare

  • chris_greenf Chris Greenfield (@chris_greenf) reported from Wymondham, England

@TeaKayB @virginmedia My son endured similar circle of hell cancelling his account with them when the Uni’s shut down in person teaching and he returned home. Have numerous screenshots of hr long waiting. In the end, he cancelled his direct debit and complained to Trading Standards.

  • LawaLaura Lady Laura (@LawaLaura) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia Yup. We got an email saying you were switching us off and then switching it all back on again this evening. It’s a planned outage.

  • WayneDi51533240 Wayne Dixon (@WayneDi51533240) reported from Norwich, England

  • womaninblack stacia briggs (@womaninblack) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia TV down in NR4 and the suggested reconnection date is December 29. Seems a long time? I’m aware no time is a good time for this to happen but Boxing Day is a REALLY bad time. Will this reflect in my (vast) bill?

  • chris_greenf Chris Greenfield (@chris_greenf) reported from Wymondham, England

@TeaKayB @virginmedia They were quick enough to chase the cancelled payments, but given their shoddy customer service, we were not worried. Sent a letter to their registered address, saying politely ‘go forth’ with the screen shots etc. Would never, ever use @Virginmedia after that experience.

  • JohnK83489203 John K (@JohnK83489203) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia @ravaldhiren My bbc1 hd still not working

  • thejpwphotos Jon P Watson Photography (@thejpwphotos) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia Your auto comp service is ridiculous. And besides, it's not just about the fact it's a paid service - it's the fact no service for several days. This doesn't need an engineer, I just need a box. You have a base just up the road from me, maybe I should go knock on their door.

  • juliettealicex Juliette (@juliettealicex) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia Yeah tried that, says it should be working but the router is still not working

  • MikeReynolds8 Mike Reynolds (@MikeReynolds8) reported from Norwich, England

    @Denise09262928 @vallyrogNCFC @virginmedia Down to zero.

  • thejpwphotos Jon P Watson Photography (@thejpwphotos) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia But no TV service for another 2 days. Not acceptable, and this is being paid for. No offer to even send a quick install box I can do myself.

  • sockformation Tim (@sockformation) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia I’m trying to install my broadband, but don’t have the right socket at home. I was told I wouldn’t need an engineer which is why I booked it in now. Also, my password isn’t working so I can’t do anything. Please help because at the moment I’ll be paying for nothing

  • thejpwphotos Jon P Watson Photography (@thejpwphotos) reported from Norwich, England

The service I've had from @virginmedia has been absolutely awful! If I treated my customers this way I would be out of business. Complaint has been dragging on for 2 months now, with loads of empty promises. Now I'm being messed about with my broadband service not working ->

  • buntyhoven Hannah O'Hanrahahanrahan (@buntyhoven) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia It's no problem really - we have the TV remote for the volume so it's OK. Is there no way of programming the remote or is it just that it's faulty?

  • Airc83 Aaron (@Airc83) reported from Spixworth, England

@bobbert_ @RTGraves @virginmedia Wow... this is appalling... I really do feel that the world doesn't care anymore. Went to a garden centre a few weeks back and the check out girl was on her phone with her back to me.. I **** you not. The manger was told.

  • buntyhoven Hannah O'Hanrahahanrahan (@buntyhoven) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia Just rang and it did say there's an issue but it's been a few days now and my husband works from home which is causing a bit of stress. Hopefully it'll get sorted ASAP.

  • FutJacques Jacques (@FutJacques) reported from Norwich, England

Virgin media are awful. Wi-Fi should’ve been installed on 19th of August, and the full installation has been pushed back to past November despite still paying for the Wi-Fi. Shocking.

  • thejpwphotos Jon P Watson Photography (@thejpwphotos) reported from Norwich, England

@virginmedia Complaint - package price is wrong and everyone keeps promising to sort, but still haven't. Broadband - keeps dropping out. When issue occured last time router swap fixed it. I need an engineer to come out and fix today but nobody can help.

  • teresak20 Teresa Keenaghan (@teresak20) reported from Hellesdon, England

    @virginmedia down again #Hellesdon #NR6

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • wobblethron Carl (@wobblethron) reported

@virginmedia Ah yes, well hidden right at the bottom 👍 One thing the agents did tell me is that the price and terms of this deal will be available to existing customers in a few weeks. Can you confirm if this true or not? Might need to look elsewhere being a customer of over 20 years if not

  • shkar_k Shkar Kider (@shkar_k) reported

@vincentgibson @virginmedia My at work who lives in a completely different part of the country has been having similar issues too.

  • Iethargies_ Chloe (@Iethargies_) reported

@virginmedia Hi, we have called that number already before I tweeted- they said it wouldn’t be done until 23/11/2022 (even though yesterday the team had said it would be booked within 48 hours and then gave us the specific time slot I mentioned due to the emergency).

  • stuartfox56_fox Stuart fox (@stuartfox56_fox) reported

@virginmedia Technician was here yesterday he said its an outside fault but the people from kier who installed the new wire are sayingbits a vurgin issue now

  • SadBoiSimm Saturn (@SadBoiSimm) reported

Virgin media. You promised us wifi extenders 10-14 days after you provide is with one pod as a follow-up to a massive 10 day Internet outage. This was in October. Its been more than 10-14 days. Where ******** are they? @Virgin @virginmedia get your **** together.

  • stevied151181 STEPHEN (@stevied151181) reported

@virginmedia It doesn't bother me at all but what I'm saying is perhaps there needs to be SOME negotiation flexibility so that you keep customers long term. It doesn't matter to me bc I'll go with any company that provides me with the service I need at the best cost but maybe ur managers...

  • TheFamousDevlin Devlin Gallier (@TheFamousDevlin) reported

@virginmedia Yes, it's because nobody has bothered to do the external work. In 9 months you have come out once, in September, discovered more work was needed (which probably didn't need doing in March) and gone, never to return.

  • sheffieldsam Sam (@sheffieldsam) reported

@virginmedia I’m not entirely sure how we we web chat but sure no problem

  • vincentgibson Vincent Gibson (@vincentgibson) reported

@virginmedia @shkar_k I having same issues for weeks wifi & broadband dropping . Numerous restarts including firestick. Ran tests, says it’s fine. It’s not. I only stay for 100 mg broadband but no point if rarely works. Now thinking I’ll go - Slow & reliable beats fast and flakey every time .

  • DannyRLUFC Danny (@DannyRLUFC) reported

@jimbobalula1 @lufc1990 @virginmedia Most routers struggle in a reasonable sized house to maintain throughout the house. If range is the issue, Mesh WiFi is the way to go. Don't bother with a single booster on an expensive monthly plan.
