@virginmedia To be honest the cable covers have been the least of my problems with #virginmedia, my whole experience has been totally regrettable from day one. The only place in my home with internet coverage is my living room.

  • clairekerrbear
(Phínula) Claire Kerr (@clairekerrbear) reported from Armagh, Northern Ireland

@virginmedia Your company is the worst I've had to deal with. You do not answer the phone or on line. The last I heard of you was when I signed up. My signal in my home is absolutely useless. The only part of my house I have a proper signal is my living room.

@virginmedia I haven't been satisfied with the broadband connection from installation. I lose signal walking by the hub, never mind the rest of my home. I've given up trying to get help.

Hats off to @virginmedia it has to be a record of some kind! Trying to cancel my broadband, they offer WhatsApp comms, mostly automated. 47 hours waiting to be connected to the person who can actually cancel my contract. I've been ****** about between renewal bots in that time.

@virginmedia With all due respect, the engineers have been there all day, I saw two of them having a 20 minute lunch break at 10am. Can you push these engineers to get this completed today? Compensation isn’t a valid response to not being able to work - ridiculous service.

  • alidalton
    Ali Dalton (@alidalton) reported

In 2017 I was the first designer at a UK fintech startup now valued at $100m+, with 500+ employees across 60 countries. It was just me, two founders, and two others in a room in London. The work wasn't a redesign. It was branding and the early flows for a payments platform. Nobody in that room called it design strategy. It was five people deciding how the product should work before there was a product. Then I spent almost a decade in the corporate world. Citibank, Mercedes, NatWest, Virgin Media. Products used by 50M+ people. £11M NPV on one project. That world taught me systems thinking, rigour, how to make a decision that survives fifteen stakeholders and a compliance review. It also taught me that six months to ship a signup flow is not a law of physics. It's a byproduct of the org chart. Most funded founders assume those two things come as a package. That if you want big company craft you have to accept big company timelines. You don't. The thinking travels. The process doesn't have to. I didn't leave because the work was bad. It was the best training I could have asked for. I left because I wanted the room of five again. Take everything those companies taught me and run it my way. No six week kickoff. No deck to justify a deck. A way founders can actually work with. So I started my studio last year. 5+ projects since across Fintech, publishing, agri-tech, and two founders launching their brands from zero. It's graft. But it's my graft now. If you're funded, building, and the product works but the numbers don't - that's the exact problem I spend my days on.

Hi @virginmedia Have to say I have dealt with a company as bad as yours , I am trying to help my elderly neighbour who happens to have been a customer of yours for 30 yrs plus deal with her badly missold package ,

  • thedazdanks
    Darren Danks (@thedazdanks) reported

@virginmedia I’m sure I’m not the only one who doesn’t have their phone next to their hub. What if an elderly customer has phone and hub in separate rooms but need the phone as part of their care and wellbeing. Would your advice still be to just move one of them?

  • travichughes
    rhi (@travichughes) reported

@j_ball13 @virginmedia when my mum died she was the primary account holder of our t3sc0 mobile family plan. instead of letting us switch our dad to the named person on the account, they cut our contracts off and left us with no working signal at all. absolute rubbish, i think they even put a block on
