@virginmedia Not for a while — you’re not seriously telling me to “turn it off and on again” ? Can’t you check if there are any issues in the area?

  • Alec2306 Alec Clapperton (@Alec2306) reported from Andover, England

@virginmedia I have been constantly looking at the site and it keeps telling me there are no issues. It only appears to be WiFi that is an issue

  • mjam1978 Morgan Jamison (@mjam1978) reported from Andover, England

@virginmedia Hi John Thank you for offering to assist. Internet is no better. Unstable and keeps dropping out cannot work from home as it cannot keep up with demands nor can my son effectively work online for school. Service in 2021 as poor as it was throughout 2020 🙄

  • jasonkneen Jason Kneen (@jasonkneen) reported from Ludgershall, England

@virginmedia and again today — 538 down and 1 up — need to know what’s going on here — you are killing my ability to work.

  • Duckocide Duckocide Games (@Duckocide) reported from Andover, England

@virginmedia Yeah. Done all that a number times. I've spoken to tech support. Awaiting an engineer call. I'll leave this conversation here. Appreciate your attention but running those tests will just get me to the book an appointment or thrown out. I've run them a lot. Thanks. Ttfn

  • CoachkeanoChris chris Keano keane (@CoachkeanoChris) reported from Amesbury, England

@virginmedia Thank You. I feel so much better, knowing that His phone is now working. Hopefully He now stays with VM, instead of changing to BT, which He is thinking of doing because of the massive problems We have had this month, each time We try contacting you.

  • jasonkneen Jason Kneen (@jasonkneen) reported from Ludgershall, England

@virginmedia and just like that, 522 and 0.73mbps again. How do I book an engineer @virginmedia? — I’ve done all the checks; rebooted my network; the hub, I’ve tested on multiple devices WiFi, Wired; direct from the hub and the problem remains — drop outs, poor upload speeds.

  • jasonkneen Jason Kneen (@jasonkneen) reported from Ludgershall, England

@TomMockridgeVM, Been a @virginmedia customer for 7 years — now on the M500 package and paying a hefty fee per month for broadband, phone and TV. Have had shocking upload speeds today (0.5mbps instead of 38mbps). Status page says fine — run test says not. Thread 1/3

  • HuntleyBenjamin Ben Huntley (@HuntleyBenjamin) reported from Andover, England

Virgin media has to be the worst internet provider I’ve ever had the trouble to experience

  • Duckocide Duckocide Games (@Duckocide) reported from Andover, England

@virginmedia So I'm told after speaking to you. Not seeing it on service page though. Agent said there was network issue.

  • Duckocide Duckocide Games (@Duckocide) reported from Andover, England

@virginmedia So I'm told after speaking to you. But seeing it on service page though.

  • Alec2306 Alec Clapperton (@Alec2306) reported from Andover, England

@virginmedia I have done all of this multiple times and nothing has come up. Today has been particularly bad where I lose signal every 5 minutes. I don’t need to keep doing the troubleshooting steps, I need a new router or an engineer

  • poppyboo1007 Mel Cass 🎶💅🏻💋 (@poppyboo1007) reported from Andover, England

@mouthwaite @virginmedia They are shite!!! We have had the same issue since March last year! Up and down like a yo-yo!!

  • jasonkneen Jason Kneen (@jasonkneen) reported from Ludgershall, England

@Vyvyan_punk @virginmedia yep — bouncing around here on M500 plan — 500+ down and jumps between 0.59 and 28mbps up. Zero help from @virginmedia apart from running speedtests

  • jasonkneen Jason Kneen (@jasonkneen) reported from Ludgershall, England

@virginmedia OK — you need to do better at this — I shouldn’t be wasting my time telling you there is a problem — you should know this before I do and tell me without going through tests — it’s clearly affecting multiple users

  • Duckocide Duckocide Games (@Duckocide) reported from Andover, England

@thedarkfenix @virginmedia I hope so. I really rely on the service now.

  • jasonkneen Jason Kneen (@jasonkneen) reported from Ludgershall, England

@virginmedia jesus christ, I’m going around in circles on your instant chat — logged in yet having to confirm my name and all my details, can you stop using these annoying bots that do nothing to help? Wasting so much time.

  • Duckocide Duckocide Games (@Duckocide) reported from Andover, England

@virginmedia Still not working. About to phone

  • Kazza6900 Karen Church (@Kazza6900) reported from Amesbury, England

  • Kazza6900 Karen Church (@Kazza6900) reported from Amesbury, England

@virginmedia broadband down AGAIN. WIFI signal has been dropping out for the last few days and every day between 3 and 7 o’clock. Restarted, reset and checked all wires. What next?

Virgin Media Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • gemma_brown83 Gemma (@gemma_brown83) reported

@virginmedia I did call and they said they didn’t know why, they originally told me it would now be today but it has been changed in my app to Monday. I’m really annoyed as I’m paying £105 a month for this and have had these issues for 6 weeks at least.

  • VeryGrumpyKev Kev (@VeryGrumpyKev) reported

@virginmedia So you apply a charge and expect me to beg for a refund. Don’t think so. You’ve already scammed money out of me. Once bitten twice shy and all that. Stop tripping yourself up John. You really need some customer experience training. Or stop drinking at work.

  • johnhenry John-Henry Barac (@johnhenry) reported

@virginmedia Yes but it’s a kafkaesque Catch22 - processes designed to put customers off and paradoxes such as discounts that take your costs higher that they were. You didn’t design this shambles, and are clearly not really empowered to help.

  • clivegrinyer Clive Grinyer (@clivegrinyer) reported

My old friend @virginmedia, 40 minutes from saying exactly what I wanted to do and then they tell me it’s the wrong department. Still the worst customer service. Come on Liberty Global, get a grip.

  • Jaime37017110 Jaime (@Jaime37017110) reported

@virginmedia So to be honest I have no idea what the charge was. I just want confirmation that my service has ended and what the £80+ charge was for.

  • Ponder65 Colin (@Ponder65) reported

@virginmedia I'm sick of this intermittent connection and inability to get it fixed because it's "right when next checked". Given past experience with your systems since June 2000 I'm 99% certain the hub is failing yet booking an engineer is problematic. HELP!

  • vxmatt matt davies (@vxmatt) reported

@virginmedia when will these wifi pods be available I'm currently using your WiFi booster and it useless I was told to order the pods back in January but there never availible

  • gaz_may Gareth May (@gaz_may) reported

Should @virginmedia be called virgin”com”media for their laughable customer service?

  • unknown_c233393 louise (@unknown_c233393) reported

@virginmedia my Nan is currently having an issue with getting into my Netflix account which I mange as it in my name she watches film on it she can’t Ben open the app the box is working fine but Netflix app is playing up any issues that we should know about

  • Heidnipper Terri (@Heidnipper) reported

@virginmedia Right.. isn’t this the general customer services number though. I’m phoning about a complaint which they logged. Exactly how are they going to discuss the outcome when there is no outcome. It says to refer to self help.
